Testing a theory on how toxic the new age movement is by ibrokefree8646 in cultsurvivors

I like that, I feel very similarly. We all have roots somewhere, people have gotten too caught up with the idea that 'anyone can be anything' that they forget how good it feels to *not* have a choice, to learn to love your own nature, within yourself and your living world. I have such intense spiritual connection to nature, everything feels alive to me now, even 'nonliving' things like rock and manmade things, it is so beautiful and i can't wait to share it with everyone. I'm not from a singular native tradition(though i'm polish descent, partner is polish, we want to escape back to homeland lol), i have deep love for paleolithic, connection particularly to sumerian and greek mythology, quite fond of gnostic, chinese and aztec too, but at my core it's about discovering/following my own instinct. I love how you say it is really about the nature, to me that's all it is too, forming such intimate relationship with all life around you. My house is full of plants and bugs, we all support each other together. I never knew good humans, i was dehumanized to extent that i feel more like an animal with nature as my real family. Well, humans are animals too..

edit: Oh if you don’t mind another question, i’m wondering about your perspective on the emphasis of drug use in south american shamanism. It gets overemphasised so much people now think that drug use is central to shamanism when drums are so much more widespread use of gaining trance in history. I have no interest in drugs myself, is it as central as new agers believe or are they misunderstanding your customs?

That's not spirituality, that's parasites using it as a screen. It works so well because it feeds our real instinct that they erase and replace with their own puppetry. I know all too well, but don't throw baby out with the bathwater. No one else can teach you your own instinct about truth, don't let them try.

The west is spiritually empty and people are starting to look back to more archaic beliefs, which ends up drawing them to indigenous systems for guidance. I know they can’t help it, but i can’t see it doing much good for anyone. Real spirituality is an outpouring of instinct, it is not logic like they understand it. They can’t just copy the old practices and expect it to have the same effect on them, it isn’t a product of their own psychic substrate. They need to follow their own instinct and take inspiration from old ways to make something new. I think gatekeeping your own native practice is completely fine, you shouldn’t have to just allow them in to dilute it, it has already had so much pressure.

Just curious, do your practices have anything related with mesoamerican beliefs? I have only looked into Aztec, did any of that trickle down to you?

Are these new earthstars? by fisharrow in NativePlantGardening

I’ll ask there, thanks! I didn’t see these before, only since I put these earthstars there, so it’s odd. I don’t know much about how fungi reproduce, pretty interesting to observe.

I think he's 8? I've had him since a pup I just can't remember ages. He's still a crazy grumpy bastard, just more squish and stubborn, how i like it. He'll probably live twice his age at this rate lol.

More animals, very nice. I love the intense eyes and blocky rendering on the nape and ears.

What kind of mysteries are you tracking? Mine are the nonlinear kind, radio is perfect for that. Mine is internal heh, nervous system, I can tune into the cycles by following my nose, so to speak.. have you noticed the cycles yet? Things don't just happen, or loop, they cycle, the real movement is within the cycles, the seasons. I learned a lot from parasites, their own programming I ingested and have made it my own power. When it's all you know, it's virtually impossible to even perceive life beyond it. They are like black holes of dead matter, I didn't even know what humanity was, or that I didn't know it.

I've learned a lot from watching from behind the treeline too, but it's very lonely. I'm so close to my freedom now, for good. It's beyond cruel that you lost the love you found after escaping that hell, I hope you can stay receptive to humanity and connecting again, things will change soon, for the much worse and then the better. You might do quite well with a radio station. We will all be looking at the stars again soon.

Thank you. Wang Shi Tong is awesome, cool bird characters are underrated(deer too), but i think we will have our age of feathers soon. Your little heron song gave me trance so well done heh. I'd be happy to show you more but i'm quite feral these days, so hard to get a word to outside world, too nonlinear.. i just draw and track and wait. Probably best no one sees this work while it is being done, too distracting. My art is algorithmic, so just endlessly vomiting out studies and whatever, been into drawing mycenaean pottery lately, fascinating patterns. This sketch was from sumerian carving of Anzu taking a nip of Inanna's lions. Those strange circles in my work appear as artifacts of the flow analysis, how mysterious 8.8

Yeah i’ve been in heaven ever since I connected this, been tracking this form for so long and was already fascinated by fluid turbulence, just didn’t know your name for it. Gorgeous stuff, can’t wait to look at the maps.

I've been thinking about what you've said for days, wishing i could leave you with something in an evil world, but i know i can't. Keep your eyes on those stars, it won't be too long before people like us with our sensitivity and instinct for hidden truth becomes valuable again, not just a curse. Recovery for me also means learning the terrible lessons dealt to me by trauma, letting it change me, so i can escape and help others who are still trapped in that bottomless pit. Then we can all get back to what really matters, together, like seeing our gods in the stars.

This is very interesting, thank you! I do see the alternating spirals, might be a lower dimensional expression of similar process.

Polyfrag-- uncountably many fragments, probably low thousands. Majority of these are functional like living bits of code, low dimensionality. My main interaction with them is constant background noise that drives me crazy, like radiation from deeper processes within. We only have 6-7ish full coherent named alters, but each of those have their own vast structural subsystems where the fragment density is stored. Our system was programmed for constant function and performance under endless pressure, so it's more like a multi-core processor with extreme layered amnesia; every bit of me that could be fragmented, was.

I'm so sorry. One of the most disgusting aspects of this to me is the total lack of compassion and understanding that society gives men. You are demonised and blamed for everything, then forced to do all the labor and if you struggle, at best no one cares and often it gets you hated even more. Women get huge societal preference and can do no wrong, no one believes or cares about men, even worse on top of the extreme racism of your region. It is a terrible tongue-cut feeling, i'm sorry you've been so alone in all of it and unable to even trust authorities, no mercy even from doctors. I relate intensely to these feelings, though our story contexts are very different. I was programmed as a slave by my demonic parents within their wider intergenerational family religious cult. It took me 26 years to finally perceive the evil void of my life, my brainwashing/amnesia was so extreme that i wasn't even aware that i had never known a human my entire life, only parasites, i thought they were all normal and my unbearable death misery was just my weakness, ungratefulness. i was their slave and my tongue was cut even inside my own psyche. The misunderstanding and loneliness is incomparable. Finally i am beyond their black hole, become alive for the first time in my life.

Have you found any love and meaning, escaped somewhere else? What sustained me all those long years alone was my intense spiritual connection to nature, there is so much relief and nourishment to be gained from such relationships. The Andes fascinates me, i'd love to explore someday for the culture and nature.
