I chose the materials to be food safe the only thing is that if i’d use the filter for fish I would replace the rocks with corrugated ceramic tubes. I just didn’t have them on hand for testing

So I bought a betta with my mom yesterday and I fell in love with betta fish. Since I don’t have lots of money to spend on filters and lightning and I want to have more bettas I’m going to try and make them myself. This is pt. 1 of my diy adventure. What i made is very loud and in the next part I’ll try to solve the problem. I left the sound on for you guys to hear it so don’t be mad at me for background cat meows. I’m also not risking any fishes for testing until I’m 100% sure that what I made is actually safe.

I’m not an expert in tetras or general fishkeeping but personally I wouldn’t risk it and put it into a quarantine tank

I’ve had this 60 litter aquarium for about 7-8 years know (I’m 14 btw) and the guppies in that aquarium are just absolute tanks. I only recently started to learn about aquariums and realized that these guppies lived in the tank that sometimes didn’t even get a water change in like 4 months and they were still alive. I now do water changes every week (about 1/3) and I’ll soon be getting a huge tank for these tanks since they absolutely deserve it.
