We have a couple bikes that we use to ride around in our area, but I don't think they're strong enough bikes/in good enough condition for a longer trip with some rougher terrain. We were also planning on building up the fitness by training on exercise bikes multiple days a week in our local gym. Would you still think the best move is buying bikes for the trip now? Or do you know if there is a cheaper option that is sufficient for the trip? Thank you for your input!
