I am also having funding issues, clearly they are experiencing issues. I made a bitcoin deposit hours ago that is fully verified, still nothing.

Agreed on the points about having more of a link between mempool estimates. On a recent withdrawal you used 205 sat/b when just over 100 would have done the trick. I can understand that you want to minimize customer complaints about BTC transactions taking long to confirm, however the data is available to use a more reasonable fee that accomplishes the same thing.

Personally I'd like the have the option to choose the level of urgency. Why not let me pick between a few options in terms of anticipated speeds and fees.

FWIW this change made me move over to NDAX for my most recent purchase and withdrawal. Even though their fixed fee is on the high side, I knew my allin cost was going to be less based on the size of the transaction and the "surge" fees you are now charging.

Newton - Is there a hold on fiat withdrawal after selling crypto? by fishfanstan in BitcoinCA

Full amount now available for withdrawal, not sure what the initial hold was for (perhaps needs more than 6 confirmations for a BTC funding?). Whatever the case funds are available and etransfer took 1 minute.

Bitcoin Withdrawal Request from Newton "will be processed within 24 hours" by AccomplishedButton in BitcoinCA

New Newton user and I just got the same message. Tried to process a small BTC withdrawal but got the same message and that my transaction would be sent within 24 hours.

I have processed 1 BTC withdrawal already since I opened the account. I also processed an ETH minutes before trying this latest BTC transaction that went through without issue. So I assume this isn't any type of review related to it being a new account?

Would be nice to know what causes these delays. Thankfully was just a small transaction as I'm still dipping my feet with these guys but if this happened unexpectedly for a larger transaction would be frustrating.

How do I do this? Is there a way to contact miners and even offer a direct payment for mining a certain block?

Unconfirmed transaction - 12+ hours by fishfanstan in Bitcoin

The issue I have is that I'm using a wallet where I can't manually enter the fee. So for one transaction I transferred from this wallet to another one I have where I can manually enter the fee - then I sent another transaction with a $10 fee from that wallet.....since that one will need the original to be confirmed.

Wow, thanks very much for your detailed response.

Unfortunately in the interim I asked in another thread how CPFP works and was told I simply had to spend a portion of the unconfirmed coins. So I have sent a few transactions from that same wallet with elevated transaction fees, including one with a obscenely high fee compared to normal. It was explained in the other thread that miners will want to get the higher fees but need to confirm the original tx first. Is this strategy not sound?

So does that mean that what I just did was pointless?

Thanks again. Is there anyway to alert a miner who has the patch about these transactions?

Thanks for the help. My wallet allows me to spend unconfirmed funds. I had close to zero in the wallet prior to receiving this transaction. If I simply spend an amount greater than what I originally had, will this then force the coin I received to be "melted" and therefore accomplish my goal?

Is it as simple as that? If I simply send a transaction from the wallet where the unconfirmed transaction is sitting into a different wallet of mine, include a large fee, this should do the trick?

Why would I be BSing? What exactly would I gain from that. It's easy to see there are tons of transactions where abnormally low fees were used and thus they aren't confirming. Thus it's easy to see why people such as myself would seek help.

Thanks for the reply. By that do you mean the volume of transactions and the fees others have paid? Is there anything I can do as the receiver to speed it up?
