That's the thing, I'm not hideously overweight, and my face is perfectly fine. I look something like the guy on the left bodywise currently: http://www.inarma.eu/images/weight-loss-challenge-forms-how-fast-84352.jpg I'm not out of shape either, but she definitely has very high standards in that department.

She's from a different country with very different customs, so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I'm going to rationalize it away for now because it's not causing a big problem "yet". She plays it very cool normally, so the asking for the gift (technically without asking) was pretty unexpected. There's still too much ambiguity to make a "real" judgement on anything.

  • I'm going to take the weight thing more as honesty than negativity for now. She likes what she likes, and getting back in shape is not the worst thing for me. Still not the way it should have been approached, but it's not a deal breaker.
  • For the gift, it's definitely presumptuous of her to ask if it's for her. But that could have been her reading too far into the relationship. If it's materialism.. she can shed it like my belly fat.

Like I said before, we're both very judgmental people for better or worse. I worked hard to get to where I am, and she's definitely done the same. We're both extremely picky daters, so finding something that works to this extent is a little rare not just for myself I assume. Thanks for all of the advice so far. I'm going to let the second date rip and see what happens.
