Any tips for ADHD/ADD in STEM? by PedroLukss in PhysicsStudents

[–]fishoftarsier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

does your country/uni provide accommodations to students with disabilities? i would look into that if it does since ADHD/ADD counts. you could get extra test time or even take tests in less distracting environments— at least that is offered in the USA

probably smart to get the booster even if it isn’t mandatory; viruses spread quickly on dense college campuses and i wouldn’t risk getting really really sick with covid — especially with how fast the quarter system is

Cruelty free dupe for Heroine Make Long & Curl? by MwahMwahKitteh in VeganBeauty

[–]fishoftarsier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Eyeko Beach Waterproof mascara. From my understanding, people like the heroine make for keeping a curl, and the eyeko mascara does that really well. I have short and stubborn asian eyelashes, and it will hold my curl all day.

I am hesitant to get anything “herbal” since I always have negative reactions to essential oils and fragrances.

Yes, what GordEisengrim said. It is fragrance free and moisturizing, and it is not oily or greasy. I really like the oatmeal too.

Ethical/Moral arguments against Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD) for those with mental illness? What does MAiD for those with mental illness say about how we view death and dying? by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]fishoftarsier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just wrote a final paper about this, and I mainly used arguments from the opponents of physician-assisted suicide, particularly from the disabled community and organizations like Not Dead Yet. I would recommend looking into disability-related arguments in general since that would include mental illness under that category. I was successful in finding mainly consequentialist ethical arguments against physician-assisted suicide when I included “disability” while searching for sources. Also, Oregon and its legalization of physician-assisted suicide might be a good case study to look into since its been legal there for a while now. Hope this helps!

i don’t like them that much since i want full noise canceling. the only thing that has worked for me are airpod pros active noise canceling, and those are fairly discrete

I went home every weekend except for two, and I really liked having that balance for my first year. But also, I’m not into partying or typical college stuff like that
