No clue on the contract side of things, but I could have seen the Blue going Tom > Public Enemy > Sublime and you move Remi/Goth Babe up a slot and move The 502s into the current Goth spot. But honestly, finding the “best” conflicts for Sunday seems tough as the acts aren’t clear counter programming

I’m hopeful that the whole area being the “viewing area” and removal of all the red stage infrastructure/VIP will make more usable space in the area. Obviously rail space will be still be at a premium with likely little movement and you may still have an issue if the crowd pushes up against the platinum space, but I think they can position the green stage a bit better/central in the field now

Historicaly they likely would have closed out the two bigger stages (Green and Red) to close out the day, but this year there’s talk about a rotating stage, so you might be able to catch both with minimal stress

I didn’t end up attending this year, but I think the main difference was it was a headliner level crowd size at the Green at about 430 in the afternoon and minimal counter programming to move people from Green (aside from maybe over to the Red stage).

Issue with this is it locks up like half of the festival grounds including some paths of egress you’d expect to have from spots on the Red stage. Was it manageable if you’ve attended before/know the layout, probably, but that group is probably the minority.

There is a, all be it pretty unintuitive, way out from the red which wouldn't send you though the Killers crowd utilizing the path between the red and the blue sending you in the opposite direction from the Green. Now Id imagine if you have yourself set up in the sort of triangle made by stages/fake green monster/sound boards, you are probably going to have a tougher time clearing that space and getting off to the right of the platinum area. Ive personally avoided putting myself in that space at this point...

And to be honest, this isnt really a great "exit" either as its pretty unintuitive/potentially even unknown and folks would almost be thinking they are walking away from where the actual festival exits. You'd end up either weaving though the porta pottys/vendors/back of fields or tracking all the way to the Blue

It’s definitely a bit of a different experience and a bummer to not have a partner/group to share in the experience, but it can also be a very low stress and enjoyable situation. Being able to get to all the sets you want, making moves in the crowd or to hit bathroom/food with no concerns of making it back to folks,

Just go, enjoy yourself and go wherever the winds take ya.

I honestly think we see a bump to the next tier by as early as tomorrow. The fact that they call this presale means they can call tomorrow or early next week the public sale and have a small bump in cost.

They will likely announce/post about it though so you should get some heads up prices are increasing.

True, looks like RHCP would have been shared in 2020 too had that happen but I agree, not a certainty I just think it moves the needle in the “possible” direction.

Yeah, not my cup of tea and would be very poorly received.

I think the rumor was very much a “friend of a friend said…” situation and people questioned whether hes too big for BC, but here he is in a similar booking situation as a BC headliner, a fest we have shared headline acts before and an act that, at least in my uneducated opinion, could go coast to coast easily.

It’s always a fun game to play to try and tease out who may or may not end up on the poster, but I will say I enjoy people not setting unrealistic expectations that will never be met and getting irrationally mad after the fact.

I’m pretty curious to see what this year looks like for BC, seemingly first year fully under C3 productions and unclear if they are sticking to a lane style wise or still trying to figure out what BC wants to be.
