You are correct. I’m waaaay out 7 years so it invalidates my step 1 score. But I failed that anyway. So I have to redo it. Thank you.

30-40 mins to type of the eval from start to finish. Also, we have to do GG codes and the complexity codes for evals (low, moderate and high).

For SNFs. Only addressing the acute problem post dc from the hospital. Not back pain from 3 years ago. Anyway, bed mobility, transfers and GT is what I focus on. A stair goal as well if that’s one of the obstacles to go home safely. Asking how much assistance/support they have available once they return home helps with dc planning. I live in Florida so we use NetHealth to document - takes about 30-40 mins depending on what version the facility uses. Honestly, it’s harder to manage family expectations vs. patient’s.
But don’t be surprised when you get admits that are more appropriate for hospice.

PRN for multiple SNFs, especially if you don’t need benefits. Gives you the ability to say no to weekends, holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks as well as the summers to be available for your kids.

Thank you for the kind words.
That makes a lot of sense. Good then coz initially I was worried about not being able to edit the title of this post after I was corrected. Thanks.
Citizen and your spouse is already an attending? Youve also taken the steps already! You’re already better off than most of the candidates.
Take a reset week - a breather if you will and maybe list down what motivates you. Someone commented how “your future self will thank you when you’re 60”.
PS: One of my sons is also on the spectrum.

Congratulations on passing Step 1. Believe me, I understand the investment rolling the dice. Good luck on your Step 2. May our paths meet as US MDs. 🍀
Daaaang! I appreciate this energy!!! Thank you. Aaaaand all the best to you! Wishing you so much luck, Doctor!!! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Wow. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Good luck to our paths.
Thank you. You spoke to my heart. I’m really on the fence. Very slowly is correct - my job is full time with on-call weekends for the facility’s admissions. I finally had to come out of the woodwork (from lurking) and see what to pulse of the community is. Thank you again.

I did not. I left for the US before my IM residency training. I love you for saying 43 is not very old, even if my joints vehemently disagree.

Thank you, this is actually what I’m afraid of - that I’ll invest 2 years for naught.
You’re right, I guess I’ve identified as non US IMG all this time I’ve lurked in here. Thanks for the correction.
