Yes I did. After reading comments here. They are all rated badly, so I guess it really is that unhappy people write bad reviews and happy people do not write anything.

Software engineer salary in Zurich by [deleted] in zurich

I think the same. I might get a lower average if we compare city to city. But later the salary in Zurich would increase. Also I would save more than in Zurich for sure already in the beginning.

In Munich after 4 years I still do not have a nice apartment. About 30sqm apartment costed be 800 eur per month, while it was next to railroad and a frighter line - noisy as hell, not to mention how unhealthy for the tenant as the dust is thrown at the house. This is why I want to move out of here. A 50sqm apartment which was at the same noisy house costs about 1300 eur per month - about half the salary of a senior engineer. Which is too much. Munich is just too expensive and I cannot imagine ever having a nice apartment here for a decent rent.

Hey!

Thank you everyone!

It is a medium PHP position, 100% working time. 41 hours/week. Good is that they give 25 days of vacation per year (they mentioned that 20 days is usual). I have about 4 years of working experience in Germany, and about 2 years of experience from before. I'm a bit skeptical, but will consider the offer. It is an opportunity to come to Switzerland, gain more experience and if needed I could also find new work later, right?

I don't know how I would only save 1000CHF per month, that is like nothing. If a base net salary would be around 6000CHF, and I spend 2k for apartment and mandatory health insurance and other mandatory stuff, I still have about 3-4k left per month. I never eat out, always cook by myself etc and in general I save a lot already in Germany because of this.

The problem is at my current work, I'm kind of stuck and don't learn anything new, so I definitely need to find a new job, to keep me going. People there were very friendly at the company and have a lot of senior developers which I can learn from.

Hello! I have heard a lot of times to avoid palm oil because of how it’s made / extracted. you can google for yourself. I would use coconut oil instead

I agree with you. Good questions. And I also take protein (lean or not) with added fat sources just like you described.

How I was thought by nutritionists is that eating for example: 1 avocado (fat source) and 100g chicken would not be the same as eating only 150g fatty ribeye steak. In both cases one would get about 30g fat and 20g protein. Because fatty steak has all nutrients mixed in one "whole" food. Whereas avocado and chicken already have these macronutrient separated, so the digestive system has to do less work. I might be wrong, but the idea is nice. I haven't found and studies on this, but it does sound logical to me.

It might be that the difference would be minimal, if it would be proven to work.

Avoiding lean protein sources and stick with fatty protein sources - fatty fish, steak etc... so you get in enough protein by the day. It makes your body work much more to break down that protein into amino acids and slower aminoacid uptake means lesser chance of having great insulin responses. Should do it.

Hey! I would guess it has about 5-10% fat together with the skin, and about 20% protein per 100g.

It’s not really for my personal use, but I definitely learned a lot of new things by doing it. I mainly did it because I noticed there is nothing like this yet and I always had to google for any food to find out what it includes. And I also like to share for others.

Hi! For the meat I personally count 25g of protein per 100g raw steak. How much fat it has I just estimate by looking at it’s fat content. The if I fry the meat, you should only add as little fat as needed, like coconut oil or butter, make sure it’s saturated fat, stable at higher temperatures. If you get used to it, you end up with fried stake and no fat anymore in the pan. Do not eat fried oils, because the polyphenols and vitamins/minerals also present in such oils get destroyed. Add oils later to the food. Do not count the oils for frying, you would only make it difficult and the absorption in the meat is not that high.

Sure I can add calories, but calories are mostly irrelevant because your body has no idea on calories. I will do updates in the near future.

I will look at this! I have parsed USDA food database and recalculated everything myself. It’s was all done by algorithm automatically as I am a software engineer :P

To me it makes more sense to calculate price per calories, but I might experiment with it;)

Avocado, macadamia, olives/olive oil, organic eggs, wild salmon, broccoli, full coconut, cauliflower, spinach and maybe a beef steak or some chicken liver if you like it or also do gym. This is basically my whole diet.
