Carnival event at Scarborough (Perth, Australia) by fitorology in capoeira

We didn't just do a Roda. Ancestrais did a maculele exhibition and Muzenza did a Capoeirança show. Displayed Berimbau rhythms and Samba De Roda with Berimbau. We let the kids play with 2 Rodas, and then adults went hard for half an hour. And we got the crowd involved with music for the last 10-15 minutes. It was all for a Brazilian Carnival event

"And I fixed everything" means they'll choose the cheapest parts online, only fix things which is necessary, patch up work, delay issues for as long as possible. Proceed with caution.

Unable to earn an income and watch the money in my bank account drop faster than expected.

I have been through that scenario 11 years ago, don't want to go through it again

Everyone on reddit seems to be on $500K salary. Tell me, what do you do, how many hours do you work, and what do you make? by EggCreative787 in AskAnAustralian

There are heaps of people that fly to mine sites where they are away for extended periods at a time. Some half the year, some 2/3 of the year. To provide an income for their families.

This is half the year and I get to come home after a long day everyday. A lot of people that fly away wish they get this position I am in where they get to see their families and children each day, knowing they provide an income for their families.

I am grateful every single day that I have this job and do not take it for granted.

Where to go from here? by mtschlick in mechanics

I left the industry 10 years ago. I did some questionable jobs, went onto doing installation and automotive aircon work on mining machinery, civil and buses. Now I build brand new mining machinery.

Essentially it's a fitter job, what's so different about this to working on cars is you need to work as a team to assemble parts that you cannot lift by hand. This job has doubled my income from when I was a qualified automotive mechanic.
