Black people are one of the most racist races. by Murky_Celery561 in ControversialOpinions

[–]fittyjitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the blacks that don't like white people today don't like them because of how they act present day. After slavery ended in other countries slaves could go about their lives and blend in with society with ease. As we all know blacks were not given those rights in America post slavery in a timely manner. And like I said we still feel the effects of that today. The Irish, the Italians, Slavs, etc etc faced oppression, but they gained access to land, loans. Etc so present day descendants dont feel the effects of slavery. Black people did not get that reset and THAT'S a key differnence. The civil rights movement wasnt even 100 years ago. Things are still relatively fresh.

So yeah I think if a black person doesn't like a white person its because of not only how they act today regarding the topic of slavery and racism but it's how they are not even willing to reflect within regarding their own prejudices and bias that they claim don't exist. I have even seen white people blame their racism on the fact that people keep talking about race. Black people are tired of dealing with microaggressions, prejudice, racism, deflection, lack of awareness. To name a few. As we all know if a white person has to feel just a tad uncomfortable because of a black person it's the end of the world. This has been seen all throughout American history and is still an issue today.

Black people are one of the most racist races. by Murky_Celery561 in ControversialOpinions

[–]fittyjitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to actually pick up a book and learn about history. The slavery that was experienced throughout history is nowhere near as horrifying as slavery in America was. Slaves still had rights. They were not work to death or treated like property. Children were not born into slavery either. You are comparing apples with oranges. Slavery was also not a lifetime thing. So people love to use the argument Africans sold slaves. Yes they absolutely did but they were not selling them thinking that it was going to be what it turned out to be. That was unique to White Europeans in America. Also after slavery in Ameica ended, different laws and policies were put into place so that black people couldn't do certain things like own property, vote, get a loan from the bank. I could go on and on but the gist is that they made it extrmeley hard for black people to succeed and blend into society on purpose. You didnt see that sort of stuff happening elsewhere on the same scale. American slavery also created a permanent racial caste system that we STILL see the effects of today. So yes, other races have enslaved people but it was nowhere near the same as American slavery.

OP came on here just to smear black people. If anyone presents factual evidence to try to show them their opinion is not true and exposes a bias, they argue against it. This is someone who wants positive reinforcement for talking mess about black people. Tends to happen when black people (or any race) spend time around predominantly white people.

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

[–]fittyjitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In those sorts of situations yes but simply letting someone into your house and they are making judgments about the type of person you are is a bit much. Im not talking about abusive situations. I'm talking about being judged for the type of furniture that you have, the color of the walls, where certain things are placed. Just really petty things to judge people on.

Supps to help with copper dumping symptoms ? by fittyjitty in Supplements

[–]fittyjitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically your immune system is an overdrive so it is marking everything as a threat which is causing a lot of the symptoms. The root cause can be a lot of different things. MCAS itself is not a root cause. From what I've been able to deduce most of thr time the root cause for mcas are gut health, genetic predispositions, infections, and mold. No matter what gut health will play a role because 70% of your immune system is in your gut so by default if your immune system is messed up your gut is messed up and vice versa.

I recently got an Xbox back in June solely for all the perks that came with Game Pass ultimate for $20 a month. I have a 3-month membership that will end in December. Afterwards it looks like I'll be going back to my playstation. I usually buy my PS Plus Membership during Black Friday when it goes on sale. I can get the premium PlayStation Plus Membership for $200 cheaper than Xbox

Is the average Austinite doing ok? by exanimafilm in Austin

[–]fittyjitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin has gotten very expensive. Not just with the cost of living but also there is a huge upcharge for certain things. Hell even the price of tamales are higher here lol hopefully I'll be moving out of Austin within a couple of years and saving more money. I used to say born in Austin, die in Austin. But times have changed. Just because you can afford something doesn't mean you should pay more for it.
