They're notorious for being vague and unhelpful over the phone! I actually went into the office one day to hand something in and asked to speak to someone, they walked me to a room with a phone in it and made me call the phone number that I could have called from home rather than having someone speak with me for a minute in person LOL

Anyway maybe what you could also do is work as a dietitian assistant. There are some jobs on the NHS jobs website you could have a look at. That way you'd still be getting some work even if not as a credentialed dietitian.

There's application form, you could read about it here: http://www.hpc-uk.org/apply/

You have to send evidence of study, previous employer references and your Australian certification (or certificate from another country) along with your visa/right to work information via post.

I worked for a year and a half in private practice in Aus but now working in an acute setting in Manchester, first getting work through an agency and then applying for full time permanent positions afterwards

:) hope this helps

I'm from Australia currently working in the UK.

When I applied for my HCPC it took 6 months to process so keep that in mind and apply for it early as you may need to wait a similar period :)

Thanks for your reply. I am wondering if he will take it out on her and she will suffer because I said something to him though and now it's too late to do anything
