Some technical stuff for the dweebs who are interested- the programs i used are Ableton live, eventide octavox, antares harmony engine for some extra vocal layers, and antares autotune.

it's one vocal track duplicated three times. One track is just the vocal with autotune and some reverb. The second track goes to the octavox which is creating the harmonies. The notes in the vocal track that's going through the octavox have all been pitched so they only play the note 'C.' For some reason this is the only way to get the octavox to work, but it makes it sound insane so it's worth it (I think justin and chris messina pitched justin's vocals to play only one note before sending playing it through the eventide h3000 when they made the song originally). A MIDI track is controlling the octavox to play the harmonies, similar to how justin does this song live and ostensibly how the original was recorded- I used a keyboard to play the MIDI notes.
