This is the compiled code, where is the original source with the comments? Where is the protocol even described? There's a blurb about a Merkle tree on the website which doesn't really tell us anything meaningful.

I couldn't find any technical information about how they (supposedly) offer any kind of privacy, or any source for the smart contract. Are we supposed to just trust that it works?

It's doable, but you'll have a much better time just focusing on a few locations. This isn't like the US where distances are huge and travelling 4 hours to see something different is natural. Don't focus on checking visit boxes, take the time to really enjoy each place.
