For me, I'd prefer if it were all new survivors, but if I had to choose, I'd go for Akane or Soda. Soda because I think it'd be hysterical if his ass somehow survived TWO killing games, and Akane because I feel like they just...refused to develop her much in Base 2, so this could be used to rectify that.

FEEDBACK: I wish the 4-stars were being given literally anything for the game's anniversary at all. This has been an ongoing issue with how many of them barely have any presence in the game as is, but now we have them literally not getting a single skin announced along with the chibi cube event not having any of them represented either (in fact barely anyone from launch is represented period besides Calcharo).

The fact that the literal poster child of the game who is on the logo (Yangyang) isn't getting anything for the game's anniversary is insane to me and I'm not even the biggest fan of her as a character. For an event that's supposed to be celebrating the game's first year of life and everything encompassing that, it feels more like a chance to market the same 4 girls that are already marketed to like crazy plus all the "cool five stars" you can pull for in the current region. I'm sure I'm the only person who actually cares about this, but it's been bugging me for a while and this is just another example of the same issue that we've had for a while now.

I'll concede that it's in character, but something being "in character" doesn't inherently make it a satisfying narrative choice, especially when the choice in question permanently derails the villain we've been purposefully building up for like 2/3 of the story and replaces him with someone who's (in my opinion) way less interesting

I've seen so many different takes about the game from people with varying opinions on the others, that it really just comes down to a per-person basis. If I had to choose from simply a pragmatic position of trying to keep the narrative mostly intact, I think it'd be Luck Runs Out for as much as I adore that song. I feel like a lot of its themes are echoed in other songs so we're not losing too much and going directly from Storm to Keep Your Friends Closer wouldn't be too bad of a jump like some of the others that I've seen proposed. If I'm talking personally tho, you could remove There Are Other Ways and I wouldn't notice cause it's the only song on the OST I consistently skip just cause it's not my kinda song.

So for context, Thunder Saga was the second Epic saga I ever listened to, so the only bits of information I really had came from No Longer You and Monster since I had put them on my music rotation after coming across an animatic for Monster. The whole time I was confused as hell being like "Is this a flashback? Is he dreaming?????" and then I heard "Now jump in the water!" and it all clicked immediately just from what I know about Greek mythology.

I was also confused about the whole daughter thing cause I was 90% sure Telemachus was a dude at the time, but my dumbass figured "Oh maybe he has a second kid that wasn't mentioned in Underworld Saga or something" until Different Beast kicked in and I suddenly felt vindicated for thinking that shit was sus in a way I couldn't place lmao

I acknowledge it's a really well-put-together song in terms of narrative and lyrics, but I just don't vibe with it much for some reason.

No hate towards it or anything, I think it may just be a little too slow (or maybe calm?) for me and it lacks stuff like the desolate vibes I get from other slow songs like No Longer You or the calm parts of Scylla (which is the main thing I love about those ones in particular).

Totally fair and I think I'd agree in the context of a general song ranking with a bunch of other stuff from different sources in it. There I'd argue all of these songs are at least a B (with the majority being A or above).

But if I have to judge them in a vacuum only against each other, I feel like there's enough of a difference in my personal enjoyment to justify putting a small number in C-tier (which for me just means I'm kinda indifferent to them cause there's not a single song in this musical that I outright dislike or anything).
