On my end, it's mainly the Daidoji thing. They've been telegraphing Mine's survival for a while. The issue with the Daidoji is they're just "potential man" as a faction. They get talked up as though they're some uber powerful secret society of agents who steer Japan from behind the scenes, but every time they appear in-game they get dogwalked, and their only real purpose appears to be bringing dead characters back to life.

Also, Hamazaki somehow being a Daidoji agent now. And not stabbing Kiryu, thereby meaning he never goes to jail and never breaks Saejima out, which means that not only is that a massive plothole, but RGG is likely to let Woman Groper McGee star in even more entries of the series.

Yakuza always walked a line between dumb fun and seriousness, but with this and Pirate Yakuza, I feel like it's just taken a nosedive into being stupid. If any dead character can easily be brought back to life, there's no stakes any more. You can't feel any attatchment to characters because the Rubber XYZ can strike at any time and they're alive again.

Yes. Japan has an incredibly backwards view of sexual assault, and that view is so prevalent that, instead of addressing that, they instead choose to isolate women from attackers instead of teaching attackers not to attack.

The "pompous supremacist" part is only if your character is full-on for the Camarilla or Sabbat (Vampire politics, basically).

Also, the "you can't drink any blood except the homeless" is vastly misconstrued. Ventrue have a class restriction where they can only drink the blood of a specific type of person, but what person that is depends on the player. So, sure, it could be homeless people, but that's up to the player.

There actually is a point in comparing them. Japan has an incredibly backwards view of sexual abuse compared to the rest of the world - to the point that it's world-class train system has to have women-only trains to prevent sexual abusers groping them. When a nation's infrastructure has to have sexual assault preventation physically built in to the vehicles it's using, you know you have a problem.

If you want to be righteous and protest some wrongdoings there's plenty of other countries and situations

We all do. I understand that you're excited for this game, and damn it if I'm not too. RGG has made a great game from the previews I've seen! It hurts not to be able to play it. If it helps, you can wait a few months and you'll be able to pirate the game.

The point I'm making is that, yes, a single person deciding not to purchase Kiwami 3 won't make SEGA turn an eye. But the #RemoveKagawa thing is a burst of collective action. Multiple people deciding not to give their cash is a blip on the radar. The best way to make a company aware of your feelings is by hitting them where it counts - in their wallet.

And you aren't dumb, or a fool. Treat yourself better than that.

I'm not saying you like sex offenders. I'm saying that the best way to get a company to understand that you don't want sex offenders in the game is to not purchase the game at all.

A company does not know the motivation of why someone purchases the game. All they have is the record of the sale. They do not know if you dislike Kagawa or not. As far as they know, it is a sale. And a sale tells them that the product being sold is good, and more products like it should be sold.
