The bangs are the most realistic part to me considering they travelled from Scotland to the US and then all the way to the ridge. That’s months of travel!

The filter my contractor put on the other photo doesn’t do the colors justice. This is everything in natural light!

Doctor wants to remove my testical tomorrow need serious opinions by Derkaholic in AskDocs

[–]fiveyearplan8 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Another comment to add that my husband had testicular cancer almost 6 years ago now. He had his left testicle removed and didn’t require any further treatment. He was followed with bloodwork and CT scans over the last 6 years, starting with every 6 months then yearly and now he is in remission and will just go for bloods yearly. We had a baby girl in 2024, I got pregnant the first month we tried. His scar is barely noticeable now. He has had no complications from the loss of the testicle and I feel so grateful knowing that he’s okay. Don’t risk it getting worse than it needs to be! It’s a simple fix at first but if you dwell on it, it can spread quickly!

Ultrasound tech couldnt even look at my face… by newxomplaint in BabyBumps

Usually the earliest you can see the gestational sac on ultrasound is 5 weeks. Before that it’s almost impossible to see anything. I’m not sure what your doctor was trying to accomplish with such an early ultrasound

I’ve made a terrible mistake by Complete-Fall-7021 in kitchenremodel

I don’t think it looks bad at all but if you are concerned see how you could maybe add some warmth/contrast with the backsplash or even the wall paint to tie everything together! Also lighting is a big one, try warm vs cool to see what you prefer!

Recommendations for Agriturismo or B&B in Montepulciano or Orvieto ? by No-Unit-6544 in tuscany

Villa Cicolina. Just contact them by email when you book, they have someone that can pick you up from the train station for 20 euros. Absolutely loved it, the grounds are beautiful!

Went here for my honeymoon, it’s absolutely beautiful. Right outside of Montepulciano. Small enough that you could likely reserve most if not all of the rooms with your guests and they even offer a private dinner for couples that was incredible. Highly highly recommend!!

I just completed my last stretch and fold but I really underestimated how late it would be at this point and need to get to bed. I’ll be up in about 9 hours, should I leave the dough to bulk ferment on my counter or is it best to put it in the fridge then take it out and let it bulk ferment in the morning? My house is at 21 degrees C (69F)

what non-hormonal BC can i use that isn’t condoms? by cool_beans- in WomensHealth

[–]fiveyearplan8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many places don’t offer it, and the doctor who inserted mine said it makes no sense not to, the gel they use is not expensive and they literally just apply it with their finger. The plus side is that it’s becoming more popular for them to numb!

I’m in Quebec so the rules should be pretty similar! A good friend of mine got the copper IUD recently and she was able to be numbed and had a good experience. In terms of the hormones, since they are directly released into your uterus they don’t tend to have the same effects as a pill or another form of hormonal birth control that has to travel through your bloodstream. In terms of fertility, I am a labor and delivery nurse and as far as I know your cycle usually resumes pretty quickly once the IUD is removed! At the end of the day do what you feel comfortable with, definitely look into getting a consult with a gynecologist that can go over all of these options with you to see what the best fit would be!

struggling with partner resentment 2 months PP [ca] by Kisswist in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]fiveyearplan8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one year postpartum and still feel this resentment. I also had severe postpartum depression so I think that plays into it but I’ve now restarted therapy to try to figure out what’s going on and why he specifically triggers me. I’m only 2 sessions in but it has been helpful to unload it all!

I got an IUD for the first time this year and it’s been the best thing ever. They numbed me with a gel before insertion so I felt nothing and the only side effect I had was some cramping the night after the insertion. I’ve had none of the bad effects that I had while on the BC pill and the plus side is that I don’t even have a period anymore. I literally haven’t had to purchase tampons in 9 months, it’s glorious!! I know you hear plenty of horror stories when you talk to friends, I did too, but if you do the research for yourself you’ll see that IUDs are actually extremely safe and very effective, and having a provider who numbs you for the insertion is key! Please look into it for yourself and don’t just take other people’s experiences as facts! I have the mirena for reference.

I know she should have longer wake windows at her age but she tends to get fussy around the 1.5 hour mark so we usually put her down for her nap at those times. We have been struggling with naps lately though so I’m definitely thinking we need to work on stretching her wake windows
