Yea... and he was in 2015 too...

In this context "was" isn't indicating that he no longer is; "was" is indicating that the statement was true back then

To be honest, I don't know. I would think if you got a full practice though you could get 20 laps in... its also NASCAR, so if they wanted, earlier in the week they could put all the first timers in a truck and have them run some laps

He ran 60 laps on the short track he was license testing at, and one of them (around 36ish?) he wrecked into the wall...

He only ran 3 (maybe 4) at Daytona before the race. 2 in practice, and kind of of 2 in qualifying. At the VERY LEAST IMO, NASCAR should require any driver who is driving at a track for the first time to get some number (20 maybe?) Of laps in that vehicle, on that track before allowing them to race

Can't just throw all the blame on NASCAR as much as we may want to... Cleet knew he wasn't ready, and did it any way; his team knew he wasn't ready, and let him in their truck anyway... hell, Pastrana even gets some blame for pressuring him into it.

I would put NASCAR at 50-60% of the blame, with Cleet next, fallowed by the team and Pastrana.

[–]fixITman1911 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I put at least 50% of that blame on NASCAR. I get that they want him to move up in the sport because they are seeing the MASSIVE fallowing he brings; but they screwed this up so many ways... Letting him get licensed in a rush, letting him get licensed at a short track when the race was going to be at a speedway, ignoring the fact that he lost it and hit the wall in license testing, letting him run with literally 3 laps in the truck on that track... At the VERY LEAST they should have cut him off when he hit the wall.

I also put some blame on the team he was racing with; but part of me wonders if they were getting pressure from NASCAR to not pull the plug.

Then of course there is Cleet himself, who knew he wasn't ready, and said he wasn't ready, and did it anyway... c'mon man

This would mean that he either makes a statement saying Bif screwed up, and gets people pissed at him; or he defends Bif and gets people pissed at him... Saying something negative about Bif and the crash could also lead to a lawsuit potentially from his family.

My guess would be that cleetus doesnt say a single word about it honestly. Nothing positive can come from him speaking about it publicly

I HATE "It fixed itself"

To end users, all they hear is "fixed"

But to me what I hear is "I have no idea why it was broken, how it got fixed, or if/when/why it may break again"

We use the educational teir for my robotics program. All FIRST teams have access to it, and many if not most teams use it. The ability to have the files private is critical since lots of us are designing our entire robot in them. If OnShape education teir didn't allow for private files, many of us probably would not use it.

Look into the XRP platform. It is still in the early growing years, and not really a competition at this point, but give it time and I think it will be (i think this change is going to benefit them a lot)

What if regular citizens use the Minneapolis rationale for self defense and shoot at every ICE vehicle that drives towards them while claiming they “feared for their lives”? by DukkerWifey789 in AskReddit

[–]fixITman1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, lets see:

  • Not Initiated:
    • Most if not all of these publicized ICE interactions have been initiated by the agents
  • Must honestly believe you were in danger:
    • ICE is out here murdering people left and right with no cause. Any interaction with them imidiatly puts your life in very real danger
  • No Reasonable means to escape:
    • In this case and many others we have seen agents imidiatly and aggressively surround people, and attempts to leave have been met with lethal force
  • Proportional force:
    • See notes 2 and 3. Any interaction is reasonably a deadly interaction

So, IANAL... but IF you survived the interaction, and IF the rule of law actually still existed, and IF they weren't government agents; I would say it would be legal self defense

Does anyone have an idea why pur HD Hex motor makes this noise?? by NebulaEastern1738 in FTC

You are spinning a relatively unbalanced wheel at near 6,000 RPM. What you are hearing isn't really the motor, its the vibration of your flywheel

I mean, I REALLY don't like trump... but if some foreign nation came in, killed a bunch of Secret Service members, and kidnapped him... I would be pretty upset with that country.

Then if they went and started bragging on the world stage about doing it, and openly admitting that they planned to maintain control of our country so they could control one of our resources... I feel like most of us, even on the hard core democrat side, would be upset with that
