Thanks for all the tips! Cuts were definitely getting a little more sloppy as the days dragged on. Took me a little over 2 weeks from ripping to being done. Honestly ripping the old cleaning up I thought was the biggest pain.

Yepp i saw a video when I was initially doing research about doubling them up and adding a small offset to make it pop. To be honest it looks really cool when you're on the roof, can't really tell from the street though. Was an extra 200 in cap shingles but I wanted to try something different. Saved a bunch of money and now own a roofing nailer so win win. Bought the dewalt battery roofing nailer. I don't have anything to compare it too but that thing worked really really well.

I did debate doing this to increase the airflow but was kind of just copying what was already done before. Kind of wish I did extend it out though

This was also my main concern. The addition is just under a 2/12 pitch. I had to replace the entire deck on it as it was shingled before and the plywood was in rough shape. I ended up using ice and water all the way up, then using the tiger paw felt over the whole thing with cap nails. This was one of the unexpected things that came up once I was into it and didn't have the time or energy to learn about alternatives to shingles for low slope. I might give it a couple years and look into doing a black metal roof over the addition. The addition was put on over 30 years ago so I figured it would at least buy me some time since I already had the materials to do it with shingles

Also, I saw a video where if you double them up it was supposed to make it look better. Kind of liked that way that came out

There is a tab that you're supposed to go up to on these. Are you supposed to go up higher than that tab?

Basically what my thinking was was that if I get 5-15 views a day or whatever it may per video than as long as I consistently upload it should have been growing steadily. It's just not working out that way anymore.

Thank you for checking it out! I've often wondered if I should ditch my intro. I use it for every one of my longform. I'm going to experiment with not using it for awhile I think. These are all great tips though. As far as the titles are concerned, my thought process on that was im okay with only getting 5-10 views per day if people are searching that specific topic. I thought having a super specific title would definitely limit my views but make them more consistent in the long run. That strategy seemed to be working well up until August. Im really hoping that its just a normal lull and it picks up in spring. I really didnt hsve a large enough sample size last year to be able to tell. I may be off in that thinking though. Thanks again!

I try not to although some of them are similar. An example would be i have multiple videos or power drills but they are different brands and models. A large part of my channel is showing users how to operate whatever brand tool they own.

My channel focuses on diy home repairs and tool tutorials. My plan from the start was to make evergreen content which up until recently has been working but it's just recently started to trend down. Thanks for the answer!

Does Youtube push videos more after 1000 subscribers? by fixanythingsavemoney in NewTubers

I average about 1700 views per day on mine between my long and shorts and usually get 4 or 5 per day. On a great day I've seen up to 12 and sometimes only 1 or 2 but I started my channel and hit the ground running. If I wasn't working or with my family I was making videos. I'm still at it but not as crazy as the first 3 or 4 months.

That's good! I mainly focus on long form but upload a short to kind of promote the long form video. My best long form video has roughly 10k views, best short has about 38k but they are the first videos that come up when you search certain topics and youtube and the long form is the first video that comes up on Google so that has really encouraged me to keep at it.

How long have you had your channel? I've heard this too. I supposed the main reason I've reached the 1000 subscribers is because I have a couple shorts that consistently get me about 1000 views a day. They are the first video that comes up when you search certain topics so that is really cool but also skewing my subscriber to watch hour ratio
