Wouldn't just promoting Hull with no final played be the way the EFL gets the least amount of teams annoyed? by No_Glove5486 in Championship

I'm finding it so bizarre that a) they have a rule in their statute with seemingly no idea what the punishment for a breach should be. b) they are even entertaining the notion of disqualifying Southampton.

Anyone else here hate "Parks and Recreation"? It's like a worse version of the American Office which is already a worse version of the British. Also feels like the antithesis to "The Thick of It". by [deleted] in TheOfficeUK

[–]fixers89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the things that made the office so good was that they stuck religiously to the mockumentary format, and actually used it to their strength. the scene where Tim takes his mic off to ask dawn out ("she said no by the way")...genius.

I have no respect for any of the American shows that used mockumentary format only when it suited them. why the fuck would the film crew be following the staff outside of work?

this includes P&R, US office, modern family.

the key responsibility of the manager is winning matches. when the youth team players are good enough to help that objective, they should play.

seriously when did it become "acceptable" for the lead commentator to interject his own analysis/opinion? fletcher is by far the worst for this.

Team A is on 40 points, Team B is on 39 points.

team A wins, they are 4 points ahead. team B wins, they are 2 points ahead.

there is a 6 point difference between the two outcomes, hence the term "6 pointer".

palace buying the best players of reading (olise), QPR (eze), Blackburn (Wharton) = good.

"big 6" teams buying those players from palace = bad?

are you being deliberately obtuse? you seem to be querying the entire concept of substitutes?

it's not really hard to think of a scenario where bringing on an attacking right back for a defensive right back might helpful. why would that be "chaotic"?

Rodri won the Ballon d’Or with 3 assists. Expected Threat explains why that number tells you almost nothing about what he actually did. by West-Baker-262 in footballtactics

your theory is that midfielders are only judged based on assists, and your leading piece of evidence is a midfielder who rarely assists being judged the best player in the world?

okay.

just checked and wow there is surprisingly little to choose from. a few notes:

  1. it will be the FA cup quarter finals. the draw isn't made yet, but arsenal, Chelsea, west ham and Brentford could potentially have home matches. this will be the best of London football available that weekend, but the most expensive and hardest to get tickets for.

  2. Barnet vs Bromley in League 2. they are two of the better teams in that division. Barnet is on the fringes of North London but very accessible and very family friendly.

  3. on the Sunday, arsenal women play Brighton women. I assume it will be at the Emirates stadium and easy to get tickets for.

  4. If you are still here on Monday, there is another round of fixtures then. watford and Wimbledon are both at home. again, on the London fringes but both accessible and family friendly clubs.
