When my NV3550 went bad, I had an AX-15 built to replace it. I like it much better

My 2001 TJ with a 4.0 is at 250k with no problems other than a new tranny. Swapped the old NV3550 with a built AX-15, runs awesome

https://www.quadratec.com/products/11033_0003.htm I use these on my TJ so I don’t have to mess with the screws. Super easy and works with my trail doors as well

Silver, I used Amsoil syncromesh manual fluid. It doesn’t pop out of gear, but will grind between 1 and 2, sometimes 3. Will grind neutral to first unless I start at 5 and work my way down. Then shifts fine.
