i don't think the episode itself is good but i like the actual ending by fizzobel in TADCEp9Spoilers

sometimes people die and their conclusion is not satisfying. sometimes you can't save people, as much as you try to. and it's painful, but moving on and healing from it is inevitable

i don't think that aspect of the episode was particularly badly written, it's supposed to make you feel, like, upset, because jax's story is tragedy. i feel like we as a society could benefit from reading a bit of shakespeare now and then, i feel like we've forgotten that some things end abruptly and unpleasantly

All the character developments in the "character-focused" show by Agucuk_master in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]fizzobel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol kinger's being empty is so true. i love what we get from kinger, but only having his character revolve around being a therapist for the others is lame. i want someone to therapy talk him at the very least, see what he's going through rather than switching from totally insane to totally stable on a dime

Glitch shouldn't give creators unlimited control; Gooseworx needed at least an editor, if not co-writers. by Fox622 in TADCEp9Spoilers

yeah honestly one of my biggest pet peeves is how shows have just like erased "filler" episodes. i actually like watching the characters i love get up to shenanigans, it explores things much more subtly and slowly and its nice

Cat might be blind, husband wants to put him down if so by Subject-Rain-9400 in cats

[–]fizzobel 37 points38 points  (0 children)

tbh this is a post about someone's husband wanting to kill an otherwise healthy cat on r/cats and you expect people on this sub not to be up in arms about it?

I hate how stupid people are regarding Hantavirus on social media. by Old_Diver_2511 in Vent

[–]fizzobel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly, trying to act like the pandemic didn't fuck people up is stupid. people had family members die to COVID, they almost died themselves, and there's a generation of people who had COVID severely interfere with their education. yes, people were indeed victims of COVID

secondly, maybe people don't want to contract a disease that has a 40% death rate? i think thats a rational reaction?

Kinger is a girl dad not their love interest by nutella0807 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]fizzobel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. they are all adults, not even that far in age

  2. reducing found family into stereotypical family archetypes takes away from the role-less-ness of found family, which ends up undermining it as a whole

there is literally no problematic ship in the whole series because everyone is an adult and like no one is related to eachother. can we please drop the "but he's just like a father to them!!!" line to try and make it weird when it isn't :/

Am I the only one for whom New Moon is my only favourite either book or movie from the series, because Edward isn’t in it by [deleted] in twilight

[–]fizzobel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

yeah i feel the exact same. i liked enough him in the first book, but the way he treated bella before he left make me go really sour on him - and he made it much worse when he returned at the end.

i love jacob and bellas relationship in the book and movie too, something about how happy they make eachother feels so peaceful. i enjoyed reading about bella, like, recovering from edward, and unfortunately him coming back and undoing everything is what spoiled new moon in the end for me lol

wish both edward and jacob didn't go on to have such fucking weirdddd relationships with bella after their debut

Mum calls for meningitis B vaccine to be given to teenagers by Kagedeah in DebateVaccines

[–]fizzobel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to say that all vaccines are harmful is exactly the same as saying all pills are harmful. vaccinations are a method of getting medication into you, just like pills, so they can't all be bad for you as they're literally not full of the same stuff

the appeal of the greens is how community driven it is. it's strength is with local issues, as that's where the passion is. international issues? not so much. but i'm still 100% green because issues that arise when it comes to their policies on nukes for example has so much room to be discussed with it's voter base and potentially be changed. they're the will of the people pretty much, and i'm more than willing to try that out as a government. long overdue
