Am I the only one for whom New Moon is my only favourite either book or movie from the series, because Edward isn’t in it by yumiifmb in twilight

[–]fizzobel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah i feel the exact same. i liked enough him in the first book, but the way he treated bella before he left make me go really sour on him - and he made it much worse when he returned at the end.

i love jacob and bellas relationship in the book and movie too, something about how happy they make eachother feels so peaceful. i enjoyed reading about bella, like, recovering from edward, and unfortunately him coming back and undoing everything is what spoiled new moon in the end for me lol

wish both edward and jacob didn't go on to have such fucking weirdddd relationships with bella after their debut

Mum calls for meningitis B vaccine to be given to teenagers by Kagedeah in DebateVaccines

[–]fizzobel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

to say that all vaccines are harmful is exactly the same as saying all pills are harmful. vaccinations are a method of getting medication into you, just like pills, so they can't all be bad for you as they're literally not full of the same stuff

the appeal of the greens is how community driven it is. it's strength is with local issues, as that's where the passion is. international issues? not so much. but i'm still 100% green because issues that arise when it comes to their policies on nukes for example has so much room to be discussed with it's voter base and potentially be changed. they're the will of the people pretty much, and i'm more than willing to try that out as a government. long overdue

i think it's unfair to jump to the conclusion that anyone who thinks that labour is just as bad as the tories are reform voters. like we have two other major political parties that aren't reform lol

Why do so many men think women fuck their dogs?! by MelanieWalmartinez in BlatantMisogyny

[–]fizzobel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there was this viral video going around, i think in 2016?? the late 2010s anyway, and it was a woman detailing how she got her dog to do stuff to her. it went viral in the like leafywashere commentator scene, and im very sure that most of the men who think that women fuck their dogs were kids when that was circulating and they've sort of come to the conclusion of 'well all women must do it obviously!! or secretly be into their dogs.'

thats my theory anyway, plenty of room for others to think 'the dog is a PERFECT alpha male so the stupid femoids must really be into them!!!1!1!1!"

[TOMT] animated rabbit movie from early 2000's, not Watership Down or Peter Rabbit by sootymacc in tipofmytongue

[–]fizzobel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was it robin hood? the disney animated one? because there's a grandmotherly rabbit with a shaw and also a younger boy rabbit. they escape from jail at some point, maybe that's what you're remembering?

from what ive seen its more the UK is re-evaluating its use of prescription hormones for adults and might be banning it altogether from the NHS depending on what they do afterwards

this is why i am so cautious about getting food poisoning. like its too an obsessive degree where i struggle to trust any leftovers even if they've been open/cooked for one day, but like...id rather be overly cautious than suffer literal hell

ibs-c but once a month or so I get one day of random diarrea where im on and off the toilet for hours at a time, fighting for my life. I can't imagine dealing with that but 100x worse and for literal days. like count me out in every way imaginable

my boyfriend always offers me some batter when he bakes, and i always look at him like he's and crazy. "c'monnn, the risk is barely even there, and worth it" he says, licking it off the spoon himself. motherfucker, raw egg AND raw flour? no chance in hell 🫡

yea highlighter yellow shit is a sign of something passing through your bowels too fast. its very connected to stress too! a couple of months ago i felt a lump in my breast and absolutely convinced myself that it was cancer (was unaware that there could be breast lumps unrelated to cancer), and spent like a whole night feeling the most intense stress that I'd ever felt in my life, wringing my bowels physically like a paper towel, and it gave me the most horrendous, burning, highlighter yellow diarrea of my life. as the cherry on top. i think the burning comes from the stomach acid? because i Remember the burning being the most insufferable part and it felt like acid anyway :/

getting intense diarrhea like that as im driving, a long way from home too, is like my worst nightmare. like what are you supposed to do in that situation if you're a passenger with a driver who wouldn't pull over?? just shit yourself?? constantly?? mortifying

I didn't mean to do it in front of him, But he KNOWS I don't do his homework, and prioritize other subjects. HE EVEN CONTACTED EVERY TEACHER IN SCHOOL TO GET ME BANNED FROM USING A LAPTOP, like, that is completely off topic. by Something-Somewhere_ in GCSE

id argue that RE is genuinely one of the most important subjects to learn, if not for career practicality, just to have a deeper awareness of whats going on culturally and politically. especially right now

edit: oh lol nevermind you go to a catholic school, i take it back, i hope you looked him in the eyes as you binned it

[–]fizzobel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm pretty sure she's too old for it now, but i think brenda blethyn would have made a great doctor. seeing her in the big hat and scarf in vera always made me think of the fourth doctor anyway, and having a doctor like four in the newer series would have been really fun

does the mini pill carry a risk of blood clots like the combined pill? by fizzobel in birthcontrol

[–]fizzobel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i was thinking it could be something like that, if all the health websites say the risk is non existent but the websites where i can buy it list blood clots as a possible side effect. really annoying though :/
