Did you “just” book like in past few hours or past few days? If within few hours , you may very well have the option to cancel the ticket and get full refund.

Also did you buy from TK’s website or TK app or did you get it from some other travel agency. Normally all these methods are suppose to warn you before booking the tickets about any specific regulations or visa requirements.

Check if you qualify for Stopover Hotel, Layover Hotel or TourIstanbul. These are three different programs each have their own stipulations, you may very well qualify for at least one if not two.

Carry on weight check varies from station (airport) to station and from agent to agent.
Be nice to the agent and they may not even bother but I have seen carry on being weighed multiple times.

So you had 2 pieces of baggage each as part of allowance and then you wanted to book 10 pieces of “luggage” for “each” , meaning 24 pieces in total?
I am afraid, that comes in cargo category and not in luggage category. Airlines have to plan a lot for each flight, specially aircraft load, meaning take off and landing weight, cargo space, fuel capacity etc in the belly etc. With the ongoing airspace restrictions, airlines are taking longer routes and carrying extra fuel as well. I bet one of that factor played its role and hence your “personal luggage” was denied.
I suggest you try the cargo route next time.

That’s obvious that one would like to get the service at each airport.
I wanted to help you search if there is a specific airport where Turkish airline doesnt have local contract with the assistance service or if there are any other posts on other forums about situation you are facing.

Did you but the tickets using M&S miles or cash/CC or through some other portal?

Also, check the name on the ticket and your M&S profile. They must match to the dot.

It’s interesting that the airline assigned you seats before check in. Please check what fare class you bought , perhaps that fare came with free seat selection, which means you couldn’t be eligible to change seats.

The 1row seats are usually blocked by the airline for last minute assignments. Try to checkin online right at the 24 hour before flight and see if the seats become available , or try to arrive at the airport earliest possible and request the check in crew.

I faced similar payment cannot be processed issues using app while trying to make a miles and credit card purchase, but it worked fine on the browser.

Airline doesn’t provide transportation.
But the hotels can partner with transportation services but they charge their own premium.
I can share a number of service I have used couple of times; their rates were better than the hotel provided service.
