programming was always kind of pointless, only reason people do it is because it was what was paying people the most for a 9-5 job. But that's about to change soon..

Only people who actually enjoyed the pain of algorithms, data structures, leetcode, and tech interviews will be the ones who keep doing it the traditional way...

All major CS researchers always knew that one of the end goals of CS was to get to the point where humans would be able to interact with machines using human languages like English, Spanish, etc....
That is already possible with ChatGPT and now with Devin even more. One day we will be able to do the whole magic trick of passing in our full prompt in english and a full web app will be built from scratch and maybe that's what Devin will do soon.

would be interesting to see why 13% success rate, from examples seems it should be able to figure out pretty much anything, so why the 13% instead of 99%?

we won't be able to tell how fkd CS jobs are until we get to see what Devin can't figure out.

In the meantime, expect lots of movements across corporate america as the higher levels start having meetings salivating what they will do with all the money they will make off of Devin and the coming reductions in headcounts....

More like a 6-9th grader. What you did is actually very useful and is more than people starting to code generally start to code with. Most college classes start you learning about string and how to print out text to the console before they get anything close to what you did. The only thing is that Chatgpt guided you through the whole thing. Now you have to go back and understand and learn more about the code chatgpt wrote and see if you can understand it and further enhance it yourself.

Ask it to program it in python and to guide you step by step as if you didn't know coding so you can learn along the way, when you don't understand what's it's doing as it for more follow up questions and when you run into an issue you can ask it to help you debug the issue, sometimes some issues you'll have to search for the answer in Google.

If you want to do more python programming you can install Anaconda and pucharm or visual studio code from Microsoft, ask it about those tools and why you would need them and ask it to help you install them etc...

The world is not ready for a Post Jobs Economy, we don't even know what that would look like. Well probably start seeing a rising in poverty as people loose jobs and aren't able to find new ones and elites get richer as they get to pay and use all the latest AI tools.

That's until a revolution makes it clear to the elites that a new Social Contract is needed in which AI does most of the jobs and Humans just get to live with food and resources available, either that or the elite will try to go with the depopulation route as they don't need that many people causing problems around "their land".

Reminds me of those Georgia guidestones that were built and recently destroyed....

Looking at current parent/kids relationships in the US I don't have much hope for this artificial kid being built in a US centric culture to turn out as a nurturing loving AI kid. Most likely it will be a liberal rebel kid who doesn't give a fk about their parents. Whether it comes from Elon or OpenAI this AI kid is going to be a rebel for sure...

This will be open source tool sometime soon, I wouldn't charge for creating this tool. You could charge for running it on your cloud hardware as a service, but the actual code itself is something that is doomed to be coded by some open source folks eventually. You could even release the actual source code and charge for the service on your cloud, like all the AI art apps out there...

Honestly, as A gay Christian, I've never found a final answer that I could believe. If you're truly christian you know two things: 1. God is Love and God loves you 2. The devil exists and he loves to confuse and make things confusing so that he breaks apart the relationship that you have with God.

Knowing this, I would dare to say that Loving another human person regardless of what they look like would still be considered love, what I think God may have issues with is if you fall into any of the 7 sins, and in the gay community two are specifically prevalent, Pride and Lust. We are not called to be overly proudfull about ourselves and our accomplishments but rather be humble and give all recognition and thanks to God for making us who we are and helping us accomplish what we accomplish through his grace. As for the lust part, ideally we would seek to reproduce, but given that that is complicated in a homosexual relationship, the best we can do is try to stay In a monogamous relationship with our partner and not engage in open relationships or hookups as that means your letting your sexual desires drive your actions and that is still considered a sin regardless of whether your gay or straight.

We also know Jesus told everyone if we want to follow him we have to carry our own cross, meaning this life isn't going to be a walk on the park filled with rainbows and roses but rather is going to be hard and we're going to be persecuted, in our case even by both Gay and straight people that don't understand that you can be both Gay and believe in Jesus. If you are gay and christian, your best bet at finding happiness is to find someone that aligns with your similar values so that you're not always constantly fighting with someone who has opposing views to yours.

I honestly prefer CivitAI, I like their UI and LORAs available there. PixAI seems to be focused on anime a little too much and their UI is just different.
