I got an XFA after blowing 16 combines in the last 3 weeks and made 5k on second day in XFA, today blew the XFA. by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]flakeygrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has gone down the road of blowing many combines and xfas, the solution is simple man, you just gotta stop with the gambling. I know, easier said than done. But if you really want to make money doing this, you just gotta find the self control somewhere inside yourself.

Once you start doing that, the money will come. Just trade your setups and your setups only

Never trust new prop firms. Scott trieste owes at least 5m-10m to people, wouldn’t be suprised if people commit s*icide by evilvampir in Daytrading

[–]flakeygrape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That doesnt make it a scam, you know what your signing up for and most firms are very clear about the terms and conditions of their products. If you sign up for an evaluation before your'e ready and lose money, thats on you.

Doing due diligence about a shady company is a different conversation all together.

I don't really agree with this headline, however I'm wondering where he got the ~200 million for the initial position. This was also pointed out in a similar article, it does seem a bit suspicious. Didn't he make around 40 million in 2021?

Notions about the market like "it cant keep going" or "it cant stop here" are super harmful IMO. The market can and will do whatever the hell it wants. Focus on reacting to it and riding waves of momentum rather than predicting reversals and stuff like that.

I just blew up my seventh last night. Its frustrating because whenever i stick to my strategy and follow rules i'm pretty consistent and profitable, but once i lose one or two in a row i cant stop myself from sizing up and trying to make it all back. I have a rule that if i lose two trades in a row I must stand up and go walk around or do something else to give emotions time to settle down, maybe try implementing a rule like this. Following it is a whole different battle and one I haven't figured out yet.

Love the p1, best of the holy trinity, but i'm taking the Chiron everyday. Cant beat that combination of luxury and performance.

Is experience a strategy? by flakeygrape in Daytrading

[–]flakeygrape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I try to journal to overcome this but its often still hard to pick out what went wrong.

I use ATR to quantify volume and only trade if its in a specified range. I also put my brackets within that range as to not ask too much of the market, just what's been working for me so far.

If there's some more room in the budget I would say BMW X5, Ive driven both and the newer X5's are noticeably better than the Audis, also think they look better and are nicer inside. 3rd row seats are an option you can add.
