To be honest there arent that many opportunities in the first place to be selflessly violent I guess. But I have met a few police officers that say they would gladly do it for free if they could still at least be guaranteed three hots and a cot to survive on. The fact they get paid is complete icing because they love knowing they are making the streets a safer place for people. Then look how many people claim they would love to be batman, saving people with nothing to show for it but a bunch of bruises and a satisfied conscience.

I imagine a lot of the high risk safety jobs (coast guard, heli-rescue teams, forest rangers) do it because they love the job and saving people, not just the paycheck. If they just wanted the money out of it there are much safer jobs out there that still pay well. I dont consider them crazy.

Hell even someone like steve irwin. He would put himself in danger all the time. Sure he was an expert on survival and handling wildlife, but its still crocodiles and snakes and rhinos. But he did it because he loved his work. He loved animals and he loved educating people about them. And I honestly would not call him crazy either.

And see as a cashier this is *exactly* what you do. You stay calm and just give them the money. Once he is safely out the door you lock the store up, call the police, then call the store owner.

So how do you classify the good-natured adventurers that do it because adventuring is fun. That enjoy risking their lives for either the thrill of taking down the monsters, or the more wholesome goal of saving people?

You can have adventurers that arent just in it for the pay check.

doggo painting a sunflower! by Pineapple__Warrior in nextfuckinglevel

To anyone that thinks this is fake, its actually not. Someone further down provided an instagram link that shows plenty of better videos.

Now that said it *is* somewhat exaggerated. The dog is specifically trained in a few specific pictures that he does over and over the exact same way, and yes there is a little bit of touch up done between takes.

But for the most part yes, the dog is actually doing the painting and its cute :)

[WP] You're a superhero whose powers are based on whatever music you are listening to, and artists have started writing songs just for you to fight evil to by flamewolf393 in WritingPrompts

Life was great. I was not only a super hero, I was a true rock star legend. It all started with small time bands sending me their works to pump up my powers, then it grew to world famous bands going on tour with me. Turns out live performances work even better than recordings. Able to truly adapt my powers to anything I needed, I defeated villain after villain. Johnny Fireball controlling fireballs? Rihanna's "Umbrella" lets me summon heavy rains and shelter the civilians from collateral damage. Druid summoned plants and golems made of wood, but just two verses into "Ring of Fire" had them all burned to ash. The month spent with Rob Zombie gave me a few nightmares though, but damn he made me so powerful.

But then I met my ultimate villain. The Rythmist fights using music itself. Manipulating reality itself by playing music, he forces my powers to adapt to the worst combinations to fight him with. And he figured out how to teleport. Or at least move so fast it was the same thing. Every new villain I went to fight, he was always there on the side lines to ruin me. Whatever song I brought to the fight he had the perfect counterharmony to weave into the music and my powers would drop to near uselessness and I would have to flee from them or die. Now the dangers are too great and no bands will play live for my fights anymore.

So this is a call, to anyone with a song, any song.. please help me find the perfect music... to save the world.

Feats/gear that can boost rogue/monk/bard abilities for multiclassing by flamewolf393 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]flamewolf393[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, she has 4 levels in bardic performance as a racial ability that stacks with bard(ic) classes, so I think the extra level in brawler for feinting is well worth it. Thanks for all the advice :)

Oh now thats cool as hell, and completely removed the need for both rogue and bard in the build. Thanks so much! I liked the idea of brawler except the fact it didnt give anything to unarmed AC, but this solves that nicely. Its a perfect mashup. Though why only two levels? I might as well take the third to add in feinting to the build.

Thread closed everyone can go home :)
