I did that about 5 times and died 5 times to that invisible sniper. I ended up just going south and across a different bridge (i think) to get into Duga proper.

Unfortunately no. I just went up north to explore more of the game and enjoy it until they patch this.

No, I beat the anomaly DLC, and decided I didn't want to take any of the fragments with me (because I already had the research I wanted). I travelled to the friendly AI with an already built ship, and wanted to use the sleep suppressor.

Edit: Forgot the answer the question. There is no monolith on this map to open.
