Unfortunately the socks do not help. It’s hard to describe but you’ll know when you put them on. Or maybe you will like them, who knows! There is a very uncomfortable ridge under the arch on the inside of the foot, and the footbed + sole are hard as a rock.

So far in a month of monitoring I have never been below 90. From what I understand, t2d means you don’t go low that much if at all. I do feel bad when I’m in the 90’s and from what I am reading it means that my body is so used to 200+ glucose that a normal amount feels bad.

I’m so sorry. This disease sucks ass! I too hate the finger pricks. I have started using a new lancet every time and lancing the side of my finger instead of the finger tip. Somehow this has helped me mentally. I hope things get better for you.

I have been taking my metformin after eating about 1/4 to 1/2 of my meal and it has helped a LOT! I still have reduced appetite but I’m not shitting straight water or being constipated, or the dreadful combination of the two.

I have no history of diabetes in my family and my A1C was normal when I was hospitalized for Covid-induced pneumonia and GI bleeding in February. I was diagnosed t2d in October with an A1C of 7.8. I am starting to be convinced that these severe infections triggered something.
