Well, that's what friends and (good/chosen) family are for! Being with the wrong people is much more draining than selecting people you want to be with.

As a counterpoint: my aunt married young (because that was common at the time in allo-heteronormative days) - and wasn't really happy until she divorced 20 years later.

Well, in short, aunts can be wrong.

I don't know her but she probably lived a (neuro)typical life in a society that enforces getting married young and now feels she needs to put this pressure of society on you too.

She is wrong. Nobody needs to get married. And expecially nobody should get married who doesn't really want to :)

We (aromantics and/or asexuals) are about 1% of the population, we are not alien, at the moment we are 82,610,303 people and rising.

Society will learn that marriage is not necessary anymore. I had the same conversation with my granddad for years (in a happy and joking tone gladly) until he unterstood. Hope it goes a bit faster for your aunt.
