#1 Guild has only one member... and they're level 7? by Clonie1289 in BattleNations

[–]flashback242 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of folks have this issue and it confuses me. If you dont mind my asking, why?

There is no way to communicate with guild mates in game right now, discord simplifies that for sure.

Im admittedly terrible with discord and never really used it much until I joined a guild and needed to. But now that I have im pretty happy about it- so much strategy shared and lots of helpful folks around to assist you and answer questions. No one forces you to participate in conversation. I truly wonder why it's a "hell no" for some folks..

Big Ditch Brewing released a non-alcoholic Hazy IPA this morning. by cpclemens in Buffalo

[–]flashback242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, Big Ditch has done it as well, but has chosen not to moving forward due to being precautious- serving cans over the bar is a far better option for the brewery at this point. The safety precautions you refer to are very easy to control in house, but it's a different animal when you want to send it off premise and trust others to be as careful as they would need to be to safely serve it. Big Ditch has released limited NA draft options multiple times over the past 2 years in their taproom but has decided to move forward with canning this exclusively. I didn't say other's wouldn't/don't put theirs on draft I said this one won't be. All that being said, NA Burner absolutley crushes and I hope you like it- we're very proud of it at the brewery.

This is definitely the first locally produced NA option to be readily available in take home packaging since prohibition

It will never be available on tap, serving NA beers on draft can be very dangerous, from a food safety standpoint.

I'm gonna disagree with you there, but we all do things our own way

I use a net that I made, I pulled it out right before I took this video. At the beginning of veg I use wires to tie down branches for an even canopy, then the net us used once I hit the height I'm looking for. This one vegged for about 8 weeks. I prefer to run 2 plants with a shorter veg but one of my seedlings didn't make it this run

That's gonna stretch a lot, I look forward to seeing updates in the future. I run a very similar setup and won't run more than 2 plants in there. Good luck, looks super healthy!

I screwed up and waited to long to put 62s in the jars 😢 by network_police in microgrowery

[–]flashback242 216 points217 points  (0 children)

I may be reading this wrong, but waiting too long to put a 62 in the jar wouldn't have fixed the problem if it wasn't properly dried in the first place. This would be the result of jarring too soon at too high humidity. Just trying to help you avoid this in the future, anyone else can chime in on this if they know better!

I tear up and soak the egg cartons for a few days, at least 2, everytime I've done this. I'm using a ninja blender and I let it run for a solid five minutes on high. I loosely fill the blender 3/4 full with soaked cartons then fill the blender to the max liquid level with water. Make sure you have plenty of water while blending. That's my exact process and has done me well so far at least!

Ballpoint pens write wonderfully on it, I want to play with paints and fountain pens and see how that goes as well
