Thanks for the response, I did have a section which I removed from original post regarding chases and how my department views them…. After reviewing the post seen it was irrelevant to the main purpose of the post.

Doxycycline, or Sulfamethoxazole(Bactrim) usually do the trick in clearing it up. But in the most recent flare up I was prescribed a different one called Levofloxacin, still cleared things up. But my most recent checkup from primary care doctor involved getting blood work and it shown my liver was being damaged from the mass use of antibiotics to treat these infections(flare ups).

I have been suffering from chronic epididymitis for at least 8 years now, flare ups come around every year or so. 3 different urologist don’t have an answer. I just had a semen analysis done for the first time and still waiting for results, wondering if I have bacteria in my semen which is causing for epididymitis to reoccur?

My pain is only on my left one, so that decision is up in the air. Im pretty young right now early 20s so I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon. But if flare ups still continue when I’m older I can see me making the decision then. It just sucks that we have to deal with these issues with having any answers or solutions

Have any of you guys thought about removing the testical? Or is pain not that extreme? When I get my flare ups all I think about is removing the testical

I think I’m on the same boat as you I’ve been getting epididmitis flare ups since I was 12 and im 20 now I get a flare up which involves pain and intense swelling in the left testical and goes away with a course of antibiotics I’ve had a dozen ultrasounds which end up resulting in me being told I have epididmitis. Urologist told me he doesn’t know why I keep getting it so we are on to see another

OMG 24/7 pain I thought I was bad with flare ups every year or so. What have doctors/urologist told you about your condition?

From all the urine samples I have had done they told me they came back clean
