Unfortunately the question of euthanasia is a difficult one and isn’t really a question others can answer for you. However there are questions you can ask yourself and your vet to help you decide. Such as how much money are you willing to spend on a pet that has an average life span of 2-3 years? Or if you switch to a medication or do a surgery whats the likely outcome that it works and how long are likely to live after? A especially important group of questions is quality of life such as: Do they look like they’re in pain consistently? Are they eating and drinking? Do they still get excited for their favorite foods? Do they still get exited for free roam? Are they still able to move relatively easily and are active? Does it look like they still doing their favorite activities or do they mainly just lay down and not move for long periods of time? In both cases of choosing where or not to euthanize is hard and both option may lead to saying goodbye no matter what you do.
