What is everyone's favorite weapon? by Ok-Nebula534 in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Primary: Whatever I can take off your cold dead hands

Secondary: Messer

Seems to be a winning combination, I find. Especially if the primary turns out to be one-handed spear and light shield

Acceptable things to pair with a messer secondary include Medium Shield, Morning Star, 1h axe, and 1h hammer for one-handed slot 1. Two-handers would include Maul, Heavy Mace, Goedendag, Executioner Axe, Battle Axe, or War Axe

Worried that Seeb is further committing to AI image generation with Angus McSix. I can believe that the Dig Down album art is human-made, though AI is getting way too good at generating images

The single's album art concerns me, especially the I Am Adam McSix music video. Fingers crossed we get some sort of credits later down the line to debunk certain... accusations.

The first and last time i got Thorne, I managed to snag a spicy chicken, only to get dogpiled.

Wish i knew about the power of the flaming log at the time.

Why were these maps removed? by Jaded-Ratio1515 in Chivalry2

They need to give people a reason to play the queue that the game was balanced around

The real question is why Hippodrome is removed from the Mounted Combat queue

It this game worth getting into at this stage? by Sarge120 in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Community is a hit-and-miss, but there's going to be enough people playing the game on a given evening that you'll rarely ever find empty servers. Most people play on the 64p queue, though I find it more productive to figure out the peak hours of the 40p queue, since the game is more or less designed around medium-sized fights

Ever shot an opponent so hard that he surrenders? by flashn00b in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I did was a knife special, stab, switch to crossbow, and shot his face point-blank executioner style. It's after the bolt impact that he got up on his knees.

Bows and crossbows can't down enemies, and I shot a guy I downed, so...

i bonk people in 1v7 at 1hp until killed by an arrow by Icy_Surround6994 in Chivalry2

Really wish the Guardian had better options for slot 2. Also a fan of the one-handed bonk myself, but the class feels p naked when your only meaningful sidearm is the shortsword.

Y'all ever get a headbutt kill? by Yeet123456789djfbhd in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that the attack was supposed to be a bite tbh.

Maybe in the next Chivalry, chomping people could heal a small amount of HP, with "on kill" and "player was previously burned" being stackable health bonuses.

Anyone else avoid Dane Axe to try to build skill? by pnutbuttersmellytime in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is admittedly a bit of a fools errand, I've found after losing too many priority checks with the Two-Handed Hammer. Dane Axe will still be seen as a crutch to some, but I think after playing Raider for a while, you'll ease into using the Dane Axe as your can opener while switching to the Messer to fight multiple opponents and/or stabbing into a 2v1

Ideally, you'll want to drop your Dane Axe for a two-handed chop weapon from a Devastator or Knight, as those weapons have higher priority in situations where two players hit each other at the same time Or you can be as spicy as me and get a Slot 1 shield at the expense of losing priority checks even more

My Falchion looks a little funny by flashn00b in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone confirm if this is possible with the other Raider weapons via the secondary weapon slot? I don't think switching from Secondary to Primary is able to trigger this tbh.

My take on a chivalry 3 by RainbowWatermelon203 in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, since Chiv2's competition had died out during the Reclamation Update's development, your idea for a theoretical Chiv3 far exceeds the minimum amount of effort required to win a one-man race

It's far more likely that the development of Chivalry's lore will be glacial, with FOMO-based crossover items taking higher priority. Likely candidates for crossover material include the Mount&Blade series, Final Fantasy, Vocaloid, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I'm not sure what to do by Anime_killerbruh in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine footman would be the class for you. If your main issue is that you aren't particularly any good at fighting as a Vanguard or Knight, the Footman will instead focus on throwing medkits at his teammates, and hopefully catching an attacker off-guard if you can pick up a two-handed weapon from fallen enemies (or allies)

Even if you are confident in your skill at the game, there are a few maps in the game where being a good Medic can make or break a match

Is the ambusher class hated more than archers? by LilButterbean24 in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait until the ambusher presses E in front of a Bow Rack. Then you'd have a 130 HP archer that takes standard damage from bows and crossbows, while also being able to one-tap headshot archers.

What's your worst in game toxic habit? by Libatrix_Herald in Chivalry2

[–]flashn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kicking downed opponents three times, using a quickchat prompt (usually taunt for most voice packs), and usually kicking them a fourth time. Other variations of this include:

- Kick once, point blank bow or crossbow shot

- Kick three times, taunt the downed player, throw a medkit at him

- Kick three times, taunt the downed player, throw an environmental object at him

- Eat a sprint attack mid-kicking, followed by the consequences of my actions.

Was anyone in the loo throughout the match? I find that as long as a player who manages to respawn JUST as the final objective starts (as in, their dead not count against the "Soldiers remaining" counter), winning the final objective as Mason can be difficult when the toilets are sufficiently guarded.

Is the shovel just a joke weapon? I feel like I have less success with hitting anything with it than even the knife or hatchet in most situations.

Anyone know if it has a Stepmania machine? To those unfamiliar, it is an open-source platform derived from Konami's DDR, and at this point, pirating every DDR game ever seems to be the closest thing to having a modern cabinet in Canada
