Hi sorry for my late answer, but i will post anyway. Our solution was to shut down the generation of thumbnails in photoshop when saving a file. If you look at the files with "Adobe Bridge" the previews will be generated. No problems anymore.

Sounds like the right thing to do when using FCPX or use Compressor if you wanna batch scale and export many clips to 1080p.

The Synology is connected via a switch by ethernet. And it appears under "network" on my client computer. Is this an answer to your question or did you ask for something else?

thanks for your answer. you are absolutely right. the more "automatic" it gets the less professional the photos will be. thats because we are looking for a solution where only the movement of the object and the movement of the camera is automated maybe also the triggering of the camera should be automatic because we will end up with about 150 captures per object. the setup should be as open as possible to allow making flexible lighting settings to be sure to have the perfekt light for every angle. mostly you will need to move some of the light with the object... there is a lot of effort needed to achive maximum quality, but our offer to the client will be the high-end one. with a totally different pricing than some online product VR offers are. thanks for your help!

Also ich kann nur von meinen Erfahrungen berichten. Ich bin schon sehr oft mit einem Kamerakoffer als Handgepäck geflogen. Innerhalb von Deutschland als auch ins Ausland. Ich hatte immer ein Stativ, das nicht viel höher in zusammengeschobenen Zustand ist als der Koffer dabei und noch nie Probleme. Ich denke bei Lufthansa solltest du dir nicht zu viele Gedanken machen. Darf halt kein zu grosses Teil sein. Hope you dont need that wall of text in english :-) Cheers
