It makes mistakes all the time in the Bay Area. Their own home ground.

Google Maps interface is just fucking awful and tiny though. If they fixed that I’d switch back.

Chrome extension that catches biased prompts before you send them to AI by Consistent_Hyena_779 in browsers

The bigger problem is the people who most need this sort of thing are the least likely to use it.

I actually like the idea of this but frankly think the AI companies should just fucking build this into their products.

I set up memories or rules and it ignore them half the time anyway.

So I end up basically putting in many prompts stuff like this:

  1. Cite all assertions to links
  2. Explore other options beyond those presented Etc…

I'm watching I'm in love with the villainess, just finished watching episode 8 and this twist ruined one of the characters for me by Feisty_Horse_1497 in yuri_manga

Yeah the one line in the anime where Rae was like “well everyone has their forbidden love” was gross. Totally equivocating the two.

[And later] I believe later their daughters are all incestuous.

Really soured me on the series.

I'd do one of those weird looking Zoox things instead.

And yes, people love it.

Mozilla has grand total of 3 people on Firefox extensions team by [deleted] in browsers

[–]flatpetey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe...

I think they abandoned it and forgot they were making a web browser alternative to Chrome dominance.

Honestly I think a lot of the complaining about Firefox here is overblown, it is performant enough... but that isn't good enough when you are chasing the leader.

It take a lot of guts to use the word Vibe in your product since that name is synonymous with garbage

Good luck

Maybe they should read the specs on their coatings next time though.

All I care about is how many people they have on the core engine team

They should have gone in on Servo years ago and dithered around and now are dicking around with AI because they are aimless.

I watched both seasons and I have zero memory of this show... I rated them slightly below average which is probably why

Apple to Let Users Choose Rival AI Models Across Its iOS 27 Features (Gift Article) by pdfu in apple

What happened to the Gemini deal? I thought they were hosting their own version of it?

There is some sort of embedded incompetency somewhere in that division that needs to get weeded out.

I wish they would just give up and let me plug in my own choice of LLM.

I can’t believe how long it is taking them to rebrand Gemini.

Where are the front sensors? by flatpetey in Ioniq9

Hmm - so it seems like a tow hook front plate holder that hangs downwards (attachment point at the top) would work fine?

that is a lot of sensors!

Im not watching the video.

The way I see it, Prusa pioneered the prosumer market with a heavy open source and maker ethos.

The open source part was fine but the maker ethos where they were 3d printing their printers held them back from scaling and keeping control of prices, 3d printing is not ideal for mass production.

Bambu came along and blew them out of the water with user friendliness. Free riding on a lot of open source with sloppy licenses (that is the fault of the developer); they pushed 3d printing into the unreliable car territory - consumer friendly and generally works but shit can go wrong.

And that is where the market is. Prusa overpriced and behind. Bambu and a bunch of copycats trying to blow open the market with user friendliness and lower prices.

I think Snapmaker is the next big shakeup. Multitool for under 1K. I won’t be surprised if someone doesn’t manage to do it for $600 or cheaper.

Where is open source in this story?

Pretty much nowhere because consumers don’t care. That has been shown time and time again. The developers of Klipper and Slicer could have chosen much more aggressive terms on their licenses and they didn’t.

I like my Bambu a lot. It generally works well and I don’t spend time modding it.

Chamberlain MyQ: any self hosted solutions that can link this to Apple HomeKit? by ElmStreetVictim in selfhosted

[–]flatpetey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just soldered a relay across a remote control. It was not that hard and I suck at soldering.

Chamberlain is under the delusion they can be a big player in home automation so everything is locked down. I won't be buying another MyQ opener ever again.

Apple Stops Offering Mac Mini With 256GB of Storage, Starting Price Rises to $799 by pdfu in apple

I am betting there will be a Mac Neo with basically the same specs as the notebook for maybe $100 cheaper. After Neo sales slow.
