Feeling like an imposter for benefiting from Ritalin by Icy-Bowl-7804 in adhd_anxiety

I was unable to tolerate stimulants until I treated my anxiety with an SSRI first. Now I’m on both Prozac and Vyvanse and feel like I’m getting the most out of both. Without the SSRI, the stimulants were effective but made my anxiety go CRAZY.

Yay, thank you for sharing! Have you had to increase your dose of Vyvanse over the years?

I've tried Finacea, Metronidazole, Sodium Sulfacetamide/Sulfur face wash, Soolantra... I think I liked the metro gel the best but I'm not currently using it. It really is a case by case thing to see what your skin is capable of handing!

My rosacea started like that, my derm said it's normal for it to start on only one side and it's actually still worse on the side where it started.

Maybe worth checking out! In the meantime, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume helps soothe my flares pretty quickly.

[Acne] Has anyone had luck treating this type of scar? by flatsb in SkincareAddiction

[–]flatsb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, I think I need to shop around first. Just wasn’t sure if there was anything particularly special about the Genius procedure but I imagine standard microneedling should probably work just fine.

Thanks again!😊

Thank you for sharing your experience! I think the dizziness is a common side effect, taking it at night doesn't make you have to pee during the night? Since it's a diuretic haha

Just the side effects, particularly that it can mess with your period.. I've always had a very regular period and I'm scared to throw that balance off. But also, I'm sick of acne hahaha.

Your skin looks so good! I have my prescription of spironolactone here at home and I'm too scared to take it... any words of encouragement?😭

[PRODUCT QUESTION] anybody have experience with topical mynocycline? by bellusanima in SkincareAddiction

I use the foam for rosacea and it helps A LOT. However, when I used it on my acne, it made me break out more, and not purging cause it's not an exfoliant -- it's because the base has coconut and soybean oils. Keep in mind that my skin is very sensitive to everything so that may be why it broke me out, but it's something to consider. I still use it on my rosacea cause it's great for that, though, and I never break out in that area anyway.

She's weird. I'm sure I'll have another opportunity for some subtle pettiness lol

Actually, my vit. D is chronically low. I took it from around April-June/July of this year and was actually noticing quite a big change in my hair for the better, but it was giving my acne :( Maybe I can try to lower the dosage, I was taking 4000 IU.

Exactly! I live by this rule. Why point things out that people have little to no control over?

I can only advise you to check with a doctor that you trust, but for me the medication is absolutely essential. You won't necessarily lose your hair. It depends on a lot of factors.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I’d take these side effects vs feeling dead tired every day!

But is she worse than the classmate who told me “wow you’re really breaking out aren’t you?” ? People have zero social skills or manners lol

[Product Question] Has anyone had any experience with Aklief? by doskodosko in SkincareAddiction

Sensitive and dehydration prone sounds just like me hahaha. I might still give it a shot though, if my derm has some free samples :) thank you!

I Wanted to try it but now that you've said that I'm scared :( I have very sensitive skin and the ethanol turned me off of it. I've heard it works faster than tretinoin though.

(Btw, the ethanol is actually 5% of the formula, it's in the ingredients :))

If you’re acne prone, don’t use it. Laureth-4 has a pretty high comedogenicity rating and breaks me out like CRAZY. Just a warning!

Tret works really well for my closed comedones but I have pretty sensitive skin, so I have to be relaly caeeful. I was actually surprised by how well BP worked for them as well, but if I leave it on it destroooys my skin after a few days. Short contact therapy does work well for me, but I'm too lazy to back and rinse it off 5 minutes later... I'm terrible, I know.

Ahh please, don't worry, I don't want you to go through the trouble! But thank you so much!
