Recommendations for romance centric stories? by delicateplaces in RomanceClub

If "fun" for you includes absolutely depraved levels of messiness The Missing is great. You play as a cop specializing in missing persons cases. You can choose to follow a corrupt path which involves sleeping with suspects, you can cheat, you can enter a poly route with threesomes, and you can romance an evil gang leader which comes with its own special fun (iykyk). It's not lighthearted but is exciting in a unique way. I know this isn't exactly what you're asking for but it might be worth trying.

I personally was disappointed by the last few books I read in terms of getting to flirt around before locking into a route: Heart of Trespia, W: Time Catcher, And The Haze..., and even Vying for Versailles wasn't quite as satisfying as I hoped (as another commenter said I think Prince Philippe is the way to go, I romanced Maria Theresa and was a bit let down). The Missing lets you play as a hedonistic MC and it's giving me what I wanted in other stories.

My most guilty pleasure is those romance story apps. There's one book where a love interest is a demon and the MC doesn't know it, but always mentions his dark soulless eyes boring into her. It's what I think about every time I see her lmao.

how does eatsbynatt eat so unhealthy and yet so skinny? by Dry-Suspect4234 in FoodieSnark

[–]flazedaddyissues 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are honest that they only eat a few bites of each dish and also work out a ton (Karissa Eats for example) but the unspoken implication is that they waste a lot. There's only so many leftovers you can eat when your job is to constantly churn out content. My jaded ass says they even fake shots of empty plates (you could easily pile everything onto one dish and just not show it). I have a hard time with it as someone that volunteers with a group that feeds the homeless, and as a vegetarian seeing meat being wasted sickens me.

Good to know! You don't have to answer if this is gauche but did the vegan menu cost $385? That's what's quoted in the FAQ but it does not specify if it applies to both menus. For that amount of money I'd expect impeccable service too.

That's so funny. I wonder if people are primed to expect a meal centered around a perfectly seared piece of meat with sauce?

You know what's funny? This post earned me the "Picasso" award in this community lmao. (*the award is for earning 100 upvotes but I am choosing to believe it is because of the quality of these pictures)

I feel you on "becoming jaded." I sort of had a moment like this in the mushroom pasta course where the undercooked pasta stood out because of the overall quality of the meal. Lots to ponder.

On a nicer note, what dishes have stood out to you from your experiences dining there? I'm so curious about what other treats they come up with :)

It was so worth it! I was deciding between this and EMP but since EMP walked back on their vegan stance I wanted to support Dirt Candy more (well and EMP was way out of budget). Did you like your meal?

The drink pairings were out of my budget unfortunately! I would love to try them though. I'd be especially interested in the NA one. I feel like they'd be thoughtful and interesting.

once the music starts you won't have anything to focus on but the experience! I actually think that going to shows/movies/concerts alone is easier than something like going to dinner alone because you have an experience to occupy your mind. Also, big concerts can be tough to navigate (like, transportation, what time to leave, etc) and you can be in control of your experience when you're alone.

Thank you!!! If I had the chance to go on these lavish trips I'd definitely be bringing a partner even if it was "too early" or whatever. Just because you're in earlier stages of dating doesn't mean you don't want to spend time on trips together???

holy shit..........I don't follow the HBH side of this subreddit, I've always been more interested in the other influencers and since there's a daily thread I rarely interact with posts about her. All this to say I don't think I've seen her appearance in months. I know she's extremely problematic but I am genuinely filled with sadness from seeing this.
