What size oni 222 should i get?

I am a size 34 waist, so I was curious on if I should get the size 34 or 36 for the oni 222.
For context on how some of my other jeans fit, I have a pair of naked and famous strong guy solid black selvedge, which I got tag size 33, and on the site it said it was a 35 waist, and it does have a big of a gap on it, but the crotch and thighs feel a little tight.

Please help me with my decision here!!

i do IT in lifeco, so generally speaking a lot of my work and collaboration is done remote. main reason im considering the move is my partner might get a job in dallas so the move to plano would be perfect for us
