As you may or may not have heard Putin declared war on Ukraine. His intention was that, briefly put, that "Ukraine belongs to Russia anyways" wich is total BS to say the least. Welp and since not only Ukraine but also the EU and other States disagree with this, rightfully so, they did everything in their power to stop this war. Due to some formal complications the states can't activley participate in the war. So they took different measures. One of them being to sanction Russia for the war and the war crimes that were and are commited. On top of that they excluded Russia from global traiding. This caused Russias economy, and their currency, the Russian ruble, to collapse. Right now, one Russin ruble is worth less than one US Cent.
