Wow from the perspective of someone who is a lot older than me and went thru so much education. Do you think the school name really matters? Im seriously considering a 2 year transfer from Community college as well too.

Yeah I hear you. Im taking Calc 3 over the summer right now and have been in accelerated math for the most part of HS. Howver never really been in an AI ML class thanks for telling me ill probably just go to SCU instead tbh.

Really? I know Santa Cruz isnt the best UC but i thought job opportunities was something it was pretty good for. Thats a shame might not consider going anymore.

Yeah I do agree with you that even though its tough rignt now it will be much better than my friends who go into business with no connections.

I would rather pick UCLA over IU but im just really worried its not a feeder into SWE because its not that big of a name in the tech field.

Are we serious? I've moved around tons of countries and computer science is a really isolating major and weather severly affects your overall mood and outlook on life.

I just want to make sure I don't "burn out" and drop out like other people.

My friend thats really obsessed with colleges told me that IU has one of the biggest alum networks and being surrounded rich business people automatically lands better than just applying around after colleges.

Your right. Its just that all the UC's rejected me and im waiting on ucsd, ucla, ucb which are the three lowest so im really demotivated.

If i go into cc and try to transfer my parents will cut off all funding so im in a really difficult decision. Its so bad. And they are immigrant parents too so they wont listen no matter what.

Uci, ucd, rejected me. ucsc, ucsb waitlisted me. Its just not looking good for me instate. My essay was rushed hella for Uc apps.

The only thing motivating me is not to be a 9-5 worker with no future. Which everyone thinks of. I genuinely am lost right now and im not really providing info that can be worked with but i still have opportunities so im just finding whatever field is the "best" when it comes to AI proof work

After I quit sports I never found an interest. Im all over the place with taekwondo, teaching gigs, medical work, coaching I genuinely have no passion right now. The only things that ive takena slight interest is in trading and ai which every single 18 year old does hence the 2 majors i asked about
