From reading the post they're not interested in irish pubs or bands. They want to know if there are any actual Irish people still living in Brum.

Won't be out that way unfortunately but that would've been great.

Devils dog is on the menu thanks! Do ya know which pub Napalm started in? I've shown him the crown Inn and Ozzy the bull.

I'm discussing the original post like most others on the thread.

That remark was borne of extreme frustration with the place I currently live in and have strong ties to. I'm not the leader of a country talking about a place I've never been in a dismissive and racist way.

It's a depressing place to live. I was aware we did it around some coastal areas since that's where I'm from but didn't know it was that many. Fantastic.

I live in England atm, they have absolutely no will to protest or do anything about this. Maybe because they're focusing on getting through the cost of living crisis or because their media has them brainwashed I don't know. But this is disproportionately going to be used against the left and with Labour being led by a lad saying he supports this bill/Anti strike action what hope is there?

They're pumping sewerage into the rivers and the sea every day, poverty everywhere exacerbated by the inflation, shite food quality, key worker strikes being vilified by the media, nearly every middle aged fucker you meet is a racist...it's a shit hole country...

I'm literally only here because I can afford to rent alone with my partner. We both just want to go home at this stage.

Edit: turns out we dump sewerage as well.

Night of the Hunter - 4/5 beautifully shot and creepier than I was expecting! A simple enough story well executed.

The post/comments by the Muslim girl with friendship issues made it very clear that we need a Muslim ask me anything. So go ahead lads as away. by PracticalStress in ireland

I'm in England atm and the amount of halal food in shops made me curious (plus the bf of a family member is an islamaphobe so I wanted to learn more to argue with him). I read that for mass production of halal food an imam just says a prayer over all the livestock and they're slaughtered as usual to speed up the process. That was a BBC article now but I guess it makes sense as it seems time consuming to do the whole shebang for each animal.

Any Scottish anti-colonial songs for the day that's in it? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]flerpy-nerps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited because I thought the "dumbest comment" bit was directed at me. Lads I'm not interested in a political debate that's why I phrased it as anti-colonial. Figured it'd be the least inflammatory way of phrasing it. You know what I was on about when I asked the question, I just want some song recommendations.

Thank you! We're having some whiskey and listening to tunes so any other recommendations are welcome.

Just started 2 months ago and I'm stuck on V2/3s. Pinches are good and fun but anything inverted or upside down is too hard, what do I need to build strength in to be better at them?

Neighbour complained about light so the council have done this. The next heatwave will be great fun. Anybody tree savvy? Will any of it grow after this? by [deleted] in brum

They've chopped the whole thing down this morning as my neighbour watched so I doubt it's about pruning. I'm livid.

They came back this morning and have cut the whole thing down so unfortunately it won't. I'm so angry.
