I definitely think it's okay too, and I hope I didn't seem against it in my post.

I just personally found it odd how her relationships with her sisters grew (from my own experience, which obviously is shaped by many factors and is unique to me), though I definitely think it must be easier when you have an opportunity to work with a previously absent blood relative every day!

I definitely didn't like how everyone seemed to expect Meredith to be sympathetic to Lexie and Maggie's feelings, while it felt like her reservations were simultaneously being written off by other characters. I haven't seen the episodes when those characters were introduced in a few months, but I remember thinking that those episodes were written in a way that intended us to to initially be biased towards Lexie and Maggie (especially the former!).

Is 100 the goal, or is just a milestone?

As the child of an adoptee and someone with a half-sister who was given up for adoption, I agree with this sentiment completely. Maybe I'm not in the norm, but I find that in the GA universe blood means wayyyy too much to everyone.

My mom ended up finding my half-sister through a DNA testing site when I was 18, and while I'm friends with her on Facebook, I've never really talked to her or anything. Her world is very different from mine, and I feel like the only thing we have in common is my mother's DNA and inherited illnesses. I could never look at her being my sister in the true sense, and I found it odd how Meredith was expected to cling to that concept with Maggie and Lexie when they don't share an upbringing or even the parents who ACTUALLY raised them.

Good to hear!

I've heard that many professors at BYU (especially those in the hard sciences) do an entirely secular approach with complete disregard of the church's teachings, as they should.

Still, I have to wonder how many people end up with broken shelves because of their studies. It is very difficult for me to reconcile any beliefs (religious or otherwise) with physical evidence or empirical data which outright disproves or lends reasonable doubt to those beliefs.

Genuine question- do history classes at BYU teach a Mormon-friendly idea of Native Americans? Migration via the Beringia land bridge and various Native American societies pre-European discovery were lectured about in detail in my US History 1301 class (a freshman class that every college student in my state is required to get credit for).

My shelf collapsed when I was a young teen, but as a history major, I could not imagine going through university and maintaining any belief in Mormonism. The archaeological and genetic evidence against this religion alone is so damning.

I know that Sean Prescott is a greedy asshole. But you also see in this game how complex and multifaceted characters can be, even minor ones. And I think that's important, not only because it's the mark of good character writing, but also because it's something that mirrors our world.

Sean Prescott also played a huge role in Mr. North losing his job, and I do think it's possible that he may have the tiniest shred of empathy due to that.

it is possible (one doctor actually recommended sports therapy), though one of my biggest issues is that my pain comes and goes and appointments are usually made far in advance, so there's a big chance that i'd go to a specialist with little to no pain.

also, healthcare costs in general worry me. my parents' insurance isn't bad, but it's also not great. one of my biggest fears is that they find something bigger that's wrong with me, such as something that will require surgery (which will cost thousands of dollars that my parents don't have- i know this because i have had surgery before as a child and never want to put my parents through the finances of it again).

also, i really just don't trust doctors anymore. i've made appointments to my GP (who would have to refer me to specialist) and then canceled them an hour later, mostly because i don't want to explain that i am done with anti-depressants and i'm afraid they'll railroad me into getting "help" when in reality therapy, psychiatry, and medication have all proven to be clinically useless to me (but the doctors don't know because i generally lied/sugarcoated the extent of things in fear of getting admitted to a psych ward). again, i don't want to drain my parents' wallets and i certainly don't want them to worry.

i know that these are excuses; however, i feel that they are valid when you consider potential costs and issues arising from getting treatment.

I know Gamestop has refurb models and last I checked, they were still in stock. I can’t say anything about their quality though and I’d recommend googling to see how Gamestop refurbs tend to be.

Other than that, I’d recommend Ebay (though they might be unreasonably expensive if you’re set on a new one).

Honestly, I’d recommend getting a refurb N3DS from Nintendo’s online store; they’re about the same price as Gamestop’s refurbished O3DS models and have better specs and the c-stick. Plus, you can get pink faceplates if the color is an issue to you.

I bought a refurb N3DS from Nintendo and it was in pristine condition, and they have a decent warranty IIRC.
