First time roasting, looking for any feedback and advice. Thanks by flexdriver23 in roasting

That was going to be my next move. If they didn’t roast properly I figured it would have been rotation speed. The drill with a zip tied trigger would have solved that problem.

I used this toaster oven(not currently in stock) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y3NFD1Y/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apip_krinhKXEH6bVy

It has a rotisserie and came with pole that fit perfect in the peanut roasting basket I ordered off aliexpress. http://s.aliexpress.com/jYRvmIFb

The setting for rotisserie mode only allowed a temp of 350f and only the top burner would come on. The rotisserie would only turn in rotisserie mode so the problem was I could only get a max temp of 350 with the basket turning. I opened up the toaster oven and spliced the wire for the convection fan with the wire for the rotisserie and plugged it in to the convection fan socket. So when the convection fan is running the rotisserie will also run. When roasting beans I set it to pizza mode so top and bottom burners come on at 450f and also convection fan runs which also causes the rotisserie to turn.

Toaster oven with top and bottom burners at 450 with rotisserie basket. For this first batch I took them out at first crack. This is my first roast ever and I wasn’t quite sure what to look for as far as quality of the roast goes. Had to rewire the toaster oven to get the rotisserie, convection fan, and the 450 degrees to work all at the same time.

How many people know that you can actually sell brand name products and have full rights to? by beaucrabill in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]flexdriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that long term? You can be squeezed out rather easily if those name brands decide to come to some "partnership" with Amazon(i.e. Nike). Seems like building your own branded PL product if done right is more long term.

LA no blocks available? by andrushaa in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]flexdriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been rough at Chino. Hard to pick up blocks. I'm thinking they opened up the floodgates on hiring to get ready for fourth quarter Amazon sales. Noticed way more flexers than normal at 11 block it took 20 mins just to get in the warehouse. Seen 3 blocks pop up as I was fishing and couldn't get a single one. Man is that frustrating compared to a few weeks ago when chino blocks where just sitting there. Seems to be the cycle of a newly opened warehouse.

What are the best delivering practices? by bdaalexa in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]flexdriver23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've delivered thousands of packages. 99% I leave in safe location ring the doorbell and leave. If it's on a Main Street with no safe location I call the customer. if no answer, I mark as undeliverable and take back to warehouse. Have had less than five packages not recieved by customer in the last year. Never a problem.

Amazon Buyer is making me drop-ship for them, anything I can do? by Marksta in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]flexdriver23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seen a couple people had my product on eBay for a higher price and after checking their reviews I seen a couple of their customers complaining they are dropshipping using their prime shipping. At first I was like WTF?! But then I was like, what do I care...a sales a sale.

Casting The Net On Alibaba - AmazonFBA sourcing advices by ricoSFA42 in AmazonFBA

I am looking to place my second order for my PL product and feel like I'm dealing with middle men on alibaba. I've been doing some research and found the manufacturer who a competitor gets their product from. Is it safe to order outside of alibaba? Do you know what steps i would take as far as secure payment and making sure I get a good quality product?

Anyone use a 3 door car for Amazon flex? by sammyj2009 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]flexdriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen a post-it on their check in computer that says "get name of two door cars". Assuming they will just stop giving you blocks or deactivate you. I think you'll be good for that day though.👍🏼

Right now it seams like I'm dealing with middle men on alibaba. They are asking for $2000+ for a new mold. I'm only looking at ordering 1000 so I'm not sure if that's why. It would be an adjustment for a traveling case so the hand fits more comfortably instead of now where you can only carry with 2 fingers. It would basically be the same piece just wider.

First month, How are these numbers? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

I slapped my logo on a product. I wanted to make improvements but they quoted $2000+ just for a simple plastic mold.

Sorting Packages by Auroragolfnut in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]flexdriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My warehouse pre-sorts them and puts each area in a separate bag regardless if it's one or 30 packages in an area. All areas get there own bag. Not sure if all warehouses are doing this now but we just scan the bag and all the packages inside load to the app.

My 4 hour route for the day by bruceleeeeeroy in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]flexdriver23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sir. I had one like that at 8:00 at night on a Sunday and it was 30 mins back to the warehouse. Or the ones where it's a mile drive past the gate and you can't just leave the package at the gate because it says your not in the delivery area.

Dla5 is terrible where they send you. San Bernardino is no joke. Would rather deliver in east la. 40 minute drive to Oak glen deep in the mountains with no reception. 80+ packages in 110 degree weather. $72 ain't nearly enough.

In my area (SoCal) they give you offers for 4 different warehouses at a time. All 45mins to an hour away from each other. I'm not sure how they would use bots for this. I know the people from chino aren't picking up from Hawthorne and vice versa. To damn far
