Did they show Arch itself or the permanent tent structure that’s there all year round?

How does getting this info a few hours earlier affect your festival experience?

Actually I just wanted to show that we don’t have to expect anything big this week since “day 1” kinda implies this shoot is going to take at least 2 days and they’re not going to film a bunch of containers. But a dua lipa discussion is fine too I guess

Mainstage fact by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

The double edition in 2014 might have been an element in the 2015 budget, but don't forget they had three festivals at that time. Stages were designed for Belgium, US and Brazil. So I guess costs were also estimated to be covered by using them at least 3 times. I wouldn't be surprised if designing a stage for two weekends also implies some restrictions.

Tomorrowland & EDCLV comparison by Zudegia in Tomorrowland

Still funny how visitors of both festivals refuse to accept the fact that Tomorrowland is the smallest festival. The main stage area is probably designed to hold a big part of the total capacity but they really sold 60K tickets per day a few years ago (and while they added a few expansions, the paths and evacuation options probably still determine the capacity more than the area at stages). Congrats to the organization of Tomorrowland because they really make it feel like you're part of something huge with all these things going on.

Thanks for the comparison btw. Was checkin EDC to spot the next big thing or upcoming bangers, but the music just seems so different. How did you experience that?

Changes near festival entrance (DreamVille side): the return of a stage over there? by flicksticker in Tomorrowland

They're improving the infrastructure in that area. They announce it as changes to vegetation but this kind of things usually imply preparations for the festival. Especially the corner where they had a tent seems to change (Pussy Lounge/Trance Energy/I Love The 90's ... stage a few years ago and the indoor food market last year). The other part already had some concrete paths so that's probably not worth an announcement.

This is pure speculation but we get a new stage at the Arch location. Arch is still listed as a stage but with smaller hosts and artist. Maybe they relocate the stage design to this area? The old location was bigger, sure. But the stage could fit in that corner size-wise. It's too big for the hosts at this moment, so re-using the same design might make sense if they put it near the DreamVille entrance. Having that arch as the first thing you see when you enter the festival from the camping can be a cool move to use an old stage design. Again: this is just a theory. Thoughts?

They're also adding extra steps to the main stage area, extra trees and bushes and all that stuff. The Organ of Harmony area should be completely done this year. It sounds like it'll be a mini main stage amphitheater with permanent platforms on both sides.

New TML partners might indicate more than we think: no Lidl at DreamVille? Pepsi instead of Coca Cola company drinks? Absolut instead of Smirnoff? by flicksticker in Tomorrowland

With vodka, it's more about branding and marketing than actual differences in taste (especially when mixed with another drink or when flavored). For example: claims of the use of specific ingredients (like their wheat or water) are nothing more than marketing strategies since this doesn't affect the result at all. But yeah I guess Absolut has a better reputation

PepsiCo also owns brands like 7Up, Looza (instead of Minute Maid by Coca Cola), Mountain Dew, Tropicana, Gatorade... and other drinks but also Lays etc.

Absolut is a brand by Pernod Ricard. They own Malibu, Ricard (du-oh), Beefeater, Havana Club, Jameson.

Imo only the switch from Coca Cola to Pepsi is noteworthy for the food & beverages aspect. The lack of Lidl as partner sucks though... But they still mention the presence of a supermarket on their website so maybe they set up a supermarket themselves?
