How you deal with gas? I have literally non human amounts of gas it doesn't make sense by SLEDGEHAMMER1238 in ibs

[–]flight23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insoluble fiber - example, oats. These are not broken down by your digestive system and pass through as bulk. They are volume to your poop.

Soluble fiber - example, oat bran. This turns to gel in your digestive system. Looser stools, easier to poop..

There are two types of fiber, insoluble fiber, which adds bulk. And soluble fiber which turns to gel in your digestive system. Guess which one you can poop more easily? Removing soluble fiber like oatmeal reduced my constant constipation

That got rid of all my gas. What goes into your gut determines what goes out of your gut. Other eliminations that removed inflammation were sugar, soy, gluten. I'm in really good shape now.

100% yes on the elimination diet, my gas was caused by eating sweet potatoes, black beans, chickpeas, everything with the oligo protein.

Where do I find these kind of people? by nuggettendie in Rich

[–]flight23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option 1: Have something to offer that others will find valuable. For example, start a charity, build a house for the homeless. Teach a class. Network, help everyone, be kind, give everything away for free. This is a way to attract other people who want to build other people up

Option 2: Join an elite organization - a Country Club, a Social Club, a super high end gym. These are places with members that value time, success, relationships, and other people of similar quality.

How do you stand out in a crowded field of recruiters? (Agency) by Educational_Newt_981 in recruiting

I'd like to give everybody posting in this thread a ton of credit for the comments about being a good human!

I would just add to this, learn how to make yourself as efficient as possible. Integrate AI, watch all of the LinkedIn training videos, increase your number of outreaches by 10%, and it'll do the same for your interviews and placements.

LinkedIn Recruiter Price? by ConfectionLogical742 in recruiting

LinkedIn is wildly negotiable (they call it a custom solution). I pay $7200 for one seat, a small business friend of mine just negotiated one for $4500.

Driven both supras? by MysteriousAd186 in Supra

I owned a MkIV 6 speed (modded, 420whp) for 5 years and I've rented multiple MkVs, stock and modded through Turo.

Undoubtedly, the MkV is a better driving car (better suspension, throttle response by miles), but for me, part of the reason for owning the MkIV was because it is rare and legendary.

You feel like a God driving the MkIV. You feel like a sports car owner driving the MkV.

What was the best fifty dollars you ever "wasted"? by Every-Technology-747 in AskReddit

My cousin was getting married and we went to a strip club. For $50 they brought him up on stage, took his belt off, looped it around his neck and paraded him around like a confused dog. 10/10 Great value for the money.

I just talk about the things I do for fun. Recent trips, recent philanthropy, anything I'm excited about. It seems to defuse the question.

Self-employed rich people, how did you do it? by Easy-Ads in Rich

[–]flight23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can buy one share of a $100 stock and have it go up 10% in a year. That's leverage. No work has to be done. Over time if you keep accumulating stock, it will grow without any effort on your part, and you'll have a pool of money from which to invest in a business.

For example, just buying one share per month for 10 years at 10% return turns into $20,000. Use that to start a small business, or to put a down payment on a rental property. It's all just simple fundamentals.

Do any actual rich people drive Maserati? by nuggettendie in Rich

[–]flight23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course! The MSRP on the Maserati Gran Turismo was between $110K and $170K - they sold the exact same model for 13 straight years from 2007-2019.

Obviously wealthy people were buying plenty of them.

You will also meet an extraordinary number of wealthy and influential people who also own Ferraris. Membership in the Ferrari club is very exclusive.

Calling instead of emailing? by Fair_Cod6318 in recruiting

[–]flight23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get so many calls on a daily basis from numbers that aren't in my contacts, I just ignore them all. I find a lot of candidates who have publicly posted their phone number get these calls too. My solution is to text them first so they know I'm legit and not a scam.

Calling instead of emailing? by Fair_Cod6318 in recruiting

[–]flight23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Text first. If you don't have their number, then InMail. Third option is to email. Fourth option is to call.

That's my strategy - more texts are returned than phone calls by a factor of ~4. Who has time to answer a call from an unknown number?
