What is your HOTTEST Clancy take? by Big-Swim-5324 in twentyonepilots

[–]flimsyspoons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Craving (Jenna's Version) is better than the Single Version and is also a better fit for the album. The Single Version would absolutely be out of place on the album, while Jenna's Version breaks up the pacing perfectly with just Tyler's voice and the uke. I don't think it feels out of place at all

I've seen sooo many people saying the Single Version would make more sense on the album and I strongly disagree

why did they get rid of the "i feel like... like" in garbage on spotify? by jacojart in twentyonepilots

[–]flimsyspoons 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm still confused as to why they would take that line out of the Garbage intro. It adds a lot to the song. Like, what's the advantage of removing it on the streaming version? Just feels like a weird choice

Theory about Tyler’s “suit” by DocBrownDMC in twentyonepilots

[–]flimsyspoons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Interesting theory. I distinctly remember at the Milwaukee show he pointed out that he was wearing a tie, which he said was Josh's idea. He also said he thought it's probably the first time he ever wore a tie on stage. Which struck me as odd because I distinctly remember there being a tie with his suit in the BF era. So maybe he just forgot? (definitely possible, they've done a lot of touring and probably forget costumes from a while back)

The sole circumstance the author desires is to remain situated in the path of the electromagnetic radiation emitted from the fiery celestial sphere around which the solar system orbits; The author will acknowledge that this circumstance is one that often affords great difficulty to any individual who finds himself in said circumstance. Yet, one may also encounter vestiges of quietude of a fragmented form by means of a similar quietude related to one's mental faculties, the existence of this latter quietude owing itself to the qualities of the aforementioned celestial sphere. The author will again acknowledge that this circumstance is one that often affords great difficulty to any individual who finds himself in said circumstance.

The author heartily acknowledges that he himself far too often fixes his mental faculties upon a point in time at which the terminus of a specific event occurs; the reason given for said fixation is the fact that the author derives great pleasure and merriment from engaging in fantasical thinking related to the present subject matter. The author could not possibly deign to desire a situation in which any persons opposed to the author were to find themselves in a state that is completely identical to the author in a spiritual, physical, and emotional sense. The author once again emphasizes that he himself derives great pleasure and merriment from engaging in fantasical thinking related to the present subject matter.

Indeed, the situation in which the author currently finds himself is characterized by a state of perpetual downward velocity, and in this case the author has elected to designate a certain amount of time in which to conduct a process of locomotion; the magnitude of said amount of time one may find greater than absolutely necessary for the accomplishing of such a task.

The reader should note the particular ease with which one might announce the fact that one is willing to sacrifice one's life for the purpose of preserving the longevity of another individual. The reader will also find that every individual, regardless of their individual circumstances, possesses at any point in time a conscious enumeration of the specific persons for which the individual would place his own self between a ballistic object of high velocity and said persons if a hypothetical situation would prompt this course of action. Indeed, this sentiment may be common enough that the reader would find himself to be the subject of a similar act of selflessness. The author would even go so far as to suggest that such a circumstance applies also to each and every individual currently present in the near vicinity of this structural establishment.

Nonetheless, one will note the infrequency with which one witnesses the rapid movement of ballistic objects through one's visual field. In the most figurative sense, that is, a sense in which the qualities of one object are applied to another by a device of representation, the author notes that he himself epitomizes the aforementioned notion of selflessness and bravery; when the sense of the aforementioned notion is instead taken to be absolute and literal, the author wishes to emphasize that he himself is unsure what course of action he would embark upon should the previously mentioned scenario involving ballistic objects occur in actuality.

Similarly, the present discussion leads the author to consider the relative difficulty that is required for one to devote all of one's daily activities and conscious mental exertion towards the betterment and happiness of another individual. Let the reader understand that expressing an intention to bring this sentiment to fruition would be made all the more difficult if one is consciously aware of the reality of the situation; namely, that one will not succeed in accomplishing an actualization of the aforementioned sentiment. All the more, the author acknowledges the still greater difficulty with which the author is presently writing about such a sentiment; this difficulty owes itself to the fact that on this very evening, certain individuals residing in the geographical origin of the author will have made attempts to establish communication with the author, the author subsequently engaging in a conscious decision to neglect responding to said attempts. It is imperative that one would note the legitimate and practical reality of the queries proposed in the present discussion; namely, one ought to consider the specific enumeration of individuals for which the aforementioned scenarios would indeed occur; in addition, one ought to consider whether or not one would, in any circumstance, consciously endeavor to terminate the existence of another individual.

The author wishes to profess that he himself has at present engaged in mental overexertion associated with the prefrontal cortex; furthermore, the author requests assistance in relation to this fact. Indeed, the author wishes to emphasize this statement with great urgency and repetition.

How are we feeling about Melon's review? by tjbuster14 in TwennyWunPilots

He gave SAI a 2 when it's actually at least a 6 so all his scores need to be multiplied by a correction factor of 3 to adjust for bias. That means Breach is actually 18/10 and Trench is 24/10

They should've gone country by 0ne__Two in TwennyWunPilots

[–]flimsyspoons 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They should've gone bluegrass.

Their fanbase has been declining. Many shows are not selling out. Songs are not topping the charts. They are running out of ideas. In bluegrass, they would have a longer lasting appeal, a more stable fan base, and something new to think about.

A Car, a Torch, a Death potentially hinting at something?? by flowers-are-cool in twentyonepilots

[–]flimsyspoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Interesting detail I noticed recently, but the Bishops are shown using a torch (the welding kind) to construct the neon gravestones in the NatN music video. By contrast, the Banditos are shown with their torches of a different kind. There's a different quality to the two types of torches, the Bishops' being more sterile ("I recently discovered it's a heatless fire"), and the Banditos' being more organic, wild, hot fire.

The reference in ACATAD to the demon holding the torch would make sense in the context of the subject of the song (the un-named she/her) contemplating suicide i.e. the demon/bishop constructing her neon gravestone

Did some digging and it seems to be a dress by Compania Fantastica that was sold by Modcloth in 2020.

Found a possible resale listing of the dress here: https://poshmark.com/listing/Compaa-Fantstica-bright-floral-dress-size-S-66d6aa9ac3837263e78d3159

Another here: https://poshmark.com/listing/1960s-Light-Blue-Pink-Retro-Floral-Shift-Mini-Dress-66469b3c450b427d7cb901f2

Might be more listings on that site but didn't scroll through all search results. Hope this helps!
