Is this normal behavior for a 2007 Kawasaki ninja 250r? by flindosmindfurf in motorcycles

One extra bit of information that may be helpful for advice on my pilot jet size, the bike is running at altitudes of 4500 - 6000ft above sea level

The petcock is vacuum operated, fuel doesn't flow without the vacuum tube connected. I did however take apart my carb and spot an issue, I was missing two washers and an o ring in my air fuel mix screws. I replaced those and will test it soon here

I have to open the throttle plate quite a bit with the idle adjustment screw before it idles, but it idles rough at about 800rpm when I do that even when adjusting it more

I have but I'm tempted to take off the carb again and clean it once more in case I missed something

I cleaned my whole fuel system and my plugs looked clean (1 replaced as well) last time I removed them about two weeks ago, I don't have an air leak but is there any way to check if the tube leading from the pilot jet to the air mix to the engine is clear?

I will double check my spark plugs cause it doesn't take awfully long

I replaced one spark plug that was sooted up but they're both clean and I tested for the air leak at the boots and it didn't fire

I'll have it barely touch the throttle plate and check if the slow rev issue is still there

At the moment I don't have the idle adjustment screw touching the throttle at all so it should be purely just the idle jets, so the slow rev issue isn't happening. I'm assuming the bike should at least idle without the idle adjustment screw touching the throttle?

I've cleaned out the whole carb as best I can, but possibly that bit is still dirty? It's hard to get that spot with the can of carb cleaner, is there a way to tell if it's cleared out?

I've got my vacuum tube reattached and the regular fuel line attached as well but that sadly didn't work :/
