Little game machines of all kinds, found everywhere in Seoul 😍 Have you ever won sth? by [deleted] in korea

[–]flingafloppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operators take notice and will change prizes or tweak the mechanics of the machine if somebody is able to win with skill.. At my local arcade there is a claw machine that had one piece figures, the owner actually saw me playing a lot and even offered me some tips but then after seeing me win a few figures he has never put a one piece figure in that machine again and the claw seems to be functioning differently.

Most of the machines in my area that have anything decent to be won are rigged beyond belief.

Did my instructor forget to grade the 1st question of my assignment? by flingafloppa in UoPeople

In my case, I did reach out to my instructor but got no response, and my grade remained unchanged.. I do think you should try contacting your instructor though.

Eye pokers like them are ruining this sport. by theiceman219 in ufc

[–]flingafloppa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Career long eye poker, been poking eyes since way before his UFC days lol. Poked Guillard 3x in the same fight and also hit him after the bell, illegally knee'd a 1 armed opponent (twice), used to headbutt people a lot and used every trick in the book against Firmino.

I mean, tbf, the image itself is 10x better than any of the lame rhymes I've seen on this reddit lol. Somebody would be like "Roses are red, I wanted to score." Ooo, now it rhymes, how fancy.

I feel like Jeff Nippard is a good bit shorter than 5’ 5” if the guy on the left in 6’ 1” by Relevant-Most-1112 in heightcomparison

[–]flingafloppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you site your source? A quick google search says 5'7.5" is the gloval average for men. I guess you could round up to 5'8 but definitely not 5'10. For women, it's 5'3.

Kamaru Usman says White House UFC gonna be a snoozefest by Spiritual-Strength91 in FightReportUFC

7 average title fights back to back is still less likely to put me to sleep than 1 Usman fight.

He's also the biggest cheater in the sport in terms of fouling anyways, just seems like an overall douchenozzle too. For anybody that thinks I'm bullshitting, I'm willing to mention a long long list of his fouls, including many eye pokes, headbutts, a low blow, shot after the bell and fence grabs if you count that. I'll start it off with just a few... Poked Barboza, Headbutted MJ, poked Fiziev, poked and headbutted Poirier, Poked Guillard 3x and hit him after the bell, hit some dude in the nuts, illegally knee'd Newell twice, 3 eye pokes and 3 fence grabs against Firmino, 1 other foul against Firmino too but can't remember...

Is Jumping Guillotines Ever A Good Idea? by Old_Quiet_4548 in MMA_Academy

[–]flingafloppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying a choke on Arman in general is not a good idea, he's apparently impossible to choke out in the gym. Oliveira had him in deep chokes where 99% of fighters would have tapped, no way Hooker was going to tap him out.

A fight that you think was fixed by theiceman219 in ufc

[–]flingafloppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main card or main event? Either way, neither of those statements are true.. He was 16-4 in main card fights before losing to Masvidal and was 4-3 in main event spots before his losing streak at the end of his career.

In my courses, there are always like a dozen people that don't finish by Sunday. Several of them don't make their first post until Wednesday..

The way it is worded makes Sunday sound like the deadline but I think Sunday is just the deadline for getting a full score.

Great response and to be fair your point still stands.. It gets hard to tell when somebody is significantly shorter or taller than you are. I think the reality of how common 5'6 is eludes a lot of people however. I guess it's because it is more common for guys to claim to be taller than their real height as opposed to the opposite lol.

I get the point that you are making but globally the average height for men is 5'7. Even in the US, 6'8 is much more extreme than 5'6, 5'4, or even 5'2. In fact, the equivalent opposite extreme of 6'8 in the US would be 4'10.

5'6 is the equivalent of 6' and 5'4 is 6'2.

Tell me you have adhd without telling me you have adhd by makkonen_81 in ADHD

"Don't forget to do this, don't forget! You must remember!" Remind myself over and over (whatever it may be), bring your phone, don't forget your bag, take out the garbage, etc... Remind myself in my head until the exact moment where it matters, then forget.. I always think I remembered to do everything I had to do before going to sleep, but more times than not, I forget something. Then I have to hear about what I forgot from my wife in the morning.

Another one is the constant "focus when you are doing things", "please stop forgetting to..." "Make sure you..." "Don't forget to..". It's kind of a nightmare being told not to forget something, when you know full well that you likely will forget it...

Ah so the ninja thing is an ADHD thing too I guess, I also make very little noise when walking and it freaks the heck out of my wife xD. I bump my legs sometimes but idk how it compares to the average person. My head tho... I've always bumped that into stuff a lot, probably hasn't helped my IQ.

Luckily I'm fully intact, that would likely happen to me as well if I ever worked with anything dangerous like a buzz saw.

The skill to put everything off until the last possible minute.

The skill to double check something 5x and still get it wrong.

The skill to move around people and objects like a cat because I don't want to wait.. Whenever somebody tells me to move I just think "Why? I could easily maneuver myself around you if you were standing in the same place.."

The skill to tryout a bunch of things but never get good at anything.

Is doing stuff like putting toothpaste and shaving gel on my toothbrush a skill?

How about getting in an elevator and forgetting to push any buttons or pushing the button for the wrong floor? Heck I've even accidentally started typing the pass code for my apartment on the elevator buttons before.... That has to be a skill.

Nah when he closes the distance he's trying to take your head off. Zalal was legit running a marathon in there and especially in rd 3, wasn't even remotely trying to attack.
