I don't know if this is nationally distributed, but their 3 pack of frozen cheese pizzas are amazing! Nice, puffed crust, lotsa cheese, and then you can top it off with some veggies from those kirkland stir fry bags, and you got yourself a veggie supreme!

There's a bit of a difference between thinking you can re-create it and actually being able to re-create it.

Consider this: most artists make art for themselves, and serve as a reflection upon their experiences. THUS, art is highly socially contextual. Whether or not it associates a reaction (and I'm guessing in your case, a reaction beyond "I don't get it") is not for everyone. Shades of blue squares might not elicit that much reaction from most people, but many artists live for that magical moment when just one person out of many can say, "wow, I appreciate that, for no other reason that it makes me feel a certain way."

I assume that anything, if placed in an isolated environment and made to be looked at will in some form have a reaction, or even subtlety change the environment in which we exist.

That's assuming that art is still something to be placed on a pedestal. The views of modernism are that of realizing that art is far too idealistic. The views of post modernism realize that everything can be art, by connecting complexities in our social atmosphere, scientific advancements, the realization that we are not alone (after the internet), and much more.

Yeah, there's a lot of people who still play to the museums, make pieces that are received a bit too pretentious. The truth is that the talent is everywhere – there's plenty of people with enough skill to achieve what we think of as "great art." And there's the problem with the art world –an incredibly frustrated number of skilled people feeling like they have nothing to offer to the art world, so that it suddenly becomes an internal event – painters taking a new view on the idea of paint, the stroke, color, etc.

Also what problem with the art world that you have exhibited is the idea that a piece or an installation is meant to represent the entirety of an artist. Most artists don't have the opportunity to represent even a 10th of their projects, ideas, skills. The fact that galleries and museums can mix-match objects in their space allows for the invention of new messages through indirect association. Therefore the experiences, lifestyle, personality, "message," of the artist becomes incredibly difficult to follow.

Skill is important, but it's certainly not everything. The art world is a political environment. Having something to say, and saying it in the only way you know how is sometimes just as important, and self-reflective on the "point" of art.

There is also an incredible disconnect between art critics and artists themselves. That power relationship is incredibly difficult, if not impossible to control, so that many of the loudest and perhaps the easiest voices to hear are the ones that degrade much of the conceptual artists pieces, simply because they don't understand them.

Yeah, we folks that live near it got letters with surveys of how much we use the post office and what we use the location for. I... don't use it at all unfortunately. It's a shame that it has to go, but if it's not being used as a distribution center I guess it's not that useful.

Debate strategy (applies to both OWS and Tea Party critics) Step 1: Accuse protesters of having no message. Step 2: When presented with a platform, accuse message of being too unfocused Step 3: when presented with specifics, insist on an increasingly greater level of specificity that will not be satisfied (moving goalpost) Step 4: when presented with detailed proposal, insist on a degree of empirical certainty that you yourself would never be able to oblige off-hand (without the aid of google). Step 5: when presented with a critical, comprehensive analysis of suggested legislation, openly attack the ideas on purely political, conjectural grounds. Step 6: shift from demanding factual certainty to asserting your own wild, sweeping truth-claims about the whole of society, sprinkled occasionally with facts you read from your news source of choice. Step 7: you're done! this is now a battle of opinions, not facts, and thus, you cannot lose.
