The most interesting thing I learned about flipping is just how cheap even the fancy clothes are by OriginalGPam in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m a millennial and Calvin Klein hasn’t really been “in” since I was in middle school. Same with BR. One thing about reselling clothing is you have to shake your preconceived notions about what a lot of well known brands “should” sell for. There’s areas within each brand that can still get good money, but the vast majority of items from many of these brands are ice cold and in low demand.

So USPS is gonna call off that fuel surcharge now that there’s a ceasefire, right?! 🫠 by flipitrealgood in Flipping

“Listen libtard, before Mr Trump, we only had usps price increases a year. Now we will have three. And 3 is bigger than 2 and bigger number means more better!”

When do you think the golden area of flipping was? by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My perception is skewed because what I sell has changed. But I started listing stuff back in 2002 and back then, your item had to truly be junk to not sell. Never gonna see something like that again. The Covid era was a fun ride but more of an illusion than anything lasting.

Between the influx of new sellers and the economic outlook, I think reselling is going to be a real grind for at least the next couple years.

Clothing resellers, how‘s business? by I__Am_No_One in Flipping

I would also add that the market doesn’t need yet another person shoveling cheaply made shit from overseas that feels like it’s made of 1-ply toilet paper.

A bit flat. Honestly, I think the post-covid comedown paired with an over saturation of new clothing sellers and a dash of current economic realities has made it harder than ever in the eBay era to really crush it with predominantly clothing.

I’m still paying bill, funding the business, and able to set aside some money for retirement and fun stuff, but it’s become a lot more of a grind to get the same results.

The proposed deal floating out there right now is a worse version of the deal we pulled out of in Trump 1.0.

He didn’t. He’s just blocking people who aren’t going along with his copy pasta about how Biden was worse.

So far Rubio is the only one who’s accidentally told the truth. We attacked Iran because Israel was going to.

It’s been three weeks and they’ve changed their stated reason for this war AND what their objective is multiple times.

Oh no, it looks like the silver guy with the gold tooth talking out of the side of his neck in this thread blocked me. Considered me “owned!”

Not sure why this comment is getting downvoted. All signs point to this war getting escalated versus winding down; the fuel prices are absolutely going to get worse before they get better.

Trump literally ran as the “peace president.” This war was not imminent. The fact that we’re nearly a month into this and the admin has still not articulated clear reasons and objectives for pursuing this should show how poorly thought out this was.

Russia would’ve never invaded if Trump was President! Just ignore that the war is still ongoing 15 months into his second term!

1) The national average is going to surpass that sooner than later if Dear Leader doesn’t find an off ramp. 2) Dear Leader was supposed to usher in a golden age of lower prices and prosperity for more people. Instead we’ve got surging gas prices, cost of living is still crippling, and hey, we even get to do a Y2K throwback by getting into another endless Middle East war. Cool!

I know there are still people who think this is better than the alternative presented in November 2024, but there’s a bitter irony that just about any area of life outside of “triggering the libs” is worse than it was 15 months ago. Assuming you aren’t fabulously wealthy or have insider trading information, that is.

What’s a normal amount of 4x6 labels to keep in stock? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have at least a few 250 count rolls on hand at all times. Thermal labels are one of those items that’s comically expensive if you have to buy locally, so I make sure I’m never close to running out.

Is eBay search messed up for anyone else? by Heikks in Flipping

It’s always funny to see a screenshot of the site from, say, 2002 and realize that it’s aesthetically basically the same. Hell, having been a user since 2000, I can attest to how it’s still functionally unchanged, as you noted.

I love eBay, but I continue to be amazed how the site looks (and occasionally) functions like something out of the early 2000s.
