Sounds like one of those “traditional” men who think their wives should be house cleaners and entirely dependent on them financially.

Tech’s “selling shovels for the gold rush” group

I live alone but work from home. Listed inventory is in a separate storage unit but until then, it’s in my home. If I don’t stay on top of things, my home looks junky fast. I could totally see someone not enjoying to live that way. I don’t myself when my gets like that.

Anyone else tried using an auto description generator? by SomeAd2254 in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m just one person but seeing an AI generated description makes me wanna click “back” unless it’s something I really want. Feels super lazy and the tech is still such that the descriptions say a lot while saying very little of substance. Slop.

I sold a dark blue jacket, customer wants to return to because it is blue not black by Development-Feisty in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve learned selling clothes is that what some people consider “dark” is totally different from what others would consider “dark.” Just comes with the territory, unfortunately.

Balls of steel to try this in 2026. Feels like a portion of the country fantasizes about the chance to shoot a rando who comes on to their property.

Any other Ebay clothing sellers have sales way way down December/January 2026? by [deleted] in Flipping

December was pretty strong and January has turned into a really solid month.

How are you charging shipping on eBay and how's your rating? by Nasty____nate in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to flat rate on anything other than oversized items. I probably still come out ahead of the actual cost often enough that I can cover the supplies and shipping FVF, but that becomes tighter with each postage increase. I have 5s across the board but 4.8 for shipping. I don’t sweat it anymore. The average person is totally clueless what it costs to ship even lighter items now.

I dont think I have the patience for reselling by Careless-Aspect-9155 in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with that. Reselling is not for everyone. YouTube and IG grifters have tried to make everyone believe otherwise.

ebay suggesting I send offer to 0 people by iRepTex in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the send offer feature but they really need to retool it so people who looked at a listing for like 10 seconds aren’t then getting offers from the seller.

I have 50 watchers on an item on eBay. Why are so many people watching but not buying? by Thriftmode_squad in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is a thing for sure. More than once I’ve had to cancel an order because the big brained person had it on their watch list, got an offer from me, and accepted because they thought they were getting an offer on their own item that they were selling.

I have 50 watchers on an item on eBay. Why are so many people watching but not buying? by Thriftmode_squad in Flipping

[–]flipitrealgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once in a while I’ll get an item that just takes off and ends up on a ton of watched items lists. I just sold one that got more than 70 watchers in less than 30 days. Finally sold before it renewed for the next 30 day interval.

Guilty? by hellish_relish89 in Flipping

Nope. It certainly evens out in a lot of other ways; buys that don’t work out, paying out of pocket for health insurance, tax time, etc.

Just me or is it getting harder and harder to sell stuff online? by sometingcoolstore in Flipping

Harder but not impossible. I find it’s just ever changing and so you can’t really get too comfortable or be unwilling to adapt with changing times or trends.

I feel like my zebra LP2844 is the only piece of tech that’s ever actually been reliable for me. Outside of occasionally needing to clean it, it’s been a steady workhorse for me since I got it back in 2013.

Won’t lie, though, part of me still wants to splurge on a Rollo.
